Dream is a super complex character , he is strict, detached, stubborn but at the same time vulnerable and kind and even naive. Tom did an incredible job portraying him.

Tom was amazing as Morpheus. He was mesmerizing and I just loved his voice. I can’t wait for season 2!

Yes! He did so well with his facial emotions (which were blank lol) and his voice was so airy he truly sounded like what I would imagine a Greek god would

Neil gaiman hasn’t confirmed a season 2. For some reason he seemed really pessimistic about a season 2 but not bc Netflix would cancel it just to cancel it. Something about it being hella expensive and he honestly didn’t seem to enthused about continuing it but he hasn’t made any conforming statements about it either so here’s HOPING there’s more of the show 😭

@@captainteeko4579 Neil Gaiman and/or the producers have confirmed that season 2’s script is ready to go, and that they’re just waiting for a green light from Netflix. If they don’t get it, there’s rumours of them just taking it to another streaming service. I don’t think Neil Gaiman waited 30 years just to give up adapting the comic books after 1 season.

I can't get enough of Morpheus's voice. So excited for season 2 😁

Fun fact: Tom Sturridge & Robert Pattinson have been friends since they were children. They went to school together in London. Rob was at The Sandman premiere after-party recently

I just started reading the comics and I could swear Tom as Morpheus was plucked right out of the pages not to mention, the hair, the outfit, the voice, so sexy. This is the first I have seen or heard of Tom and damn he is cuuute. I adore his analysis that Dream's detachment is a coping mechanism so that he is not overwhelmed by all of humanity's thoughts and emotions. When is season 2?!

His voice is perfect in Sandman for Morpheus!! Him and the team make his voice sound so airy and dreamlike!

My first thought when I saw Tom as Morpheus was "okay, this guy looks like a perfect mix of young Neil Gaiman and graphic novel Morpheus". Perfect casting.🤌🏻

Perfect cast for this show .: love it can’t wait for season 2 .. is a different dark story

It’s disgusting how likable this actor is. It was always worrisome to see how concepts personified would be done. But this guy is like Daredevil, just perfect for the role. It’s odd to see him without those pouty lips scowling. Though for the creator of Dreams, it makes sense. He’s been hope for billions of people, but incapable of feeling hope himself, even when people have “Good Dreams” they’re often off putting, like there’s somethings always a bit off in them. Like how when we dream of others, but yet the people we love/care for are not there and we only see a fraction of who they are in our dreams. It was always worrisome to see how an actor would pull off a “god”/personified concept role off, but this was done surprisingly well. Like how gods are supposed to see our universe how we see a comic book. But the lack of “normal” emotions and reactions was well done, and it’s perfect how instead of always having a human character by their side to help “explain”/show a gods feelings/thoughts via comparison they could’ve easily added in a sidekick kinda character. But even how each episode comes off as it’s own unique story and how stories alone aren’t good/bad/kind/cruel as each character in the story has their own perspective and how each reader will interpret them in a different way is cool. The show could be better, but it’s actually super good, and this actor is doing such a great job.

We NEED to see those costume tests, Netflix can't keep them hidden away forever, I bet Tom looked STUNNING in the full gettup, if a bit excessive

If people would take their own job as seriously as Tom Sturridge took this role.....( Lord Morpheus or the King of the Dreaming/ The Oneiromancer and so on) the world would be a peaceful all welcoming heaven for each of us. Imagine a beehive-type of society, nobody would get sick or "dis-eased" ...You know what I mean? :)

I can’t believe they would have casted JGL instead… massive miscast. Would have been worse than Looper and Rise of Cobra. Sturridges voice sounds so enigmatic

I think it helps the actors relax if the interviewer is relaxed and engaged. Dudes responding and listening, seems like an authentic interview.
