The Sanctum - Tutorial Part 1: Foundation & Lower Pillars
Ойындар
IMPORTANT! The foundation diagram shows the measurements from corner to corner (the white lines), not the amount of blocks. I understand that some are confused by this and aren't sure whether to count the corner blocks as part of the short or long walls. So by thinking of the numbers as measurements, the corner block where 51 and 12 meet are shared between the two and the corner block between 12 and 12 isn't part of those numbers. Thinking of the numbers as outer measurements (the white lines) should help with understanding how to build it.
The total height of the build is 176 blocks, but the top of the dome is actually only 118 and the very thin part of the spire starts at height 150, so if you're close to the height limit you don't have to build the spire quite as tall.

IMPORTANT! The measurements of the foundation are the outside dimensions. The numbers represents the lengths of the white lines, in other words. That means that the short walls are 12 blocks wide without counting the block "inside" the corner. Farms you may find useful in building this: -WOOD FARM: Spruce: kzread.info/dash/bejne/dJ6bk8GAdbPKdM4.html Mangrove/Warped: kzread.info/dash/bejne/aKyZlqttddTUdto.html -BONEMEAL: Traditional bonemeal farms (stone-moss converters) are slow. Use Wither Skeleton or normal Skeleton farms for faster drops. -WITHER SKELE: kzread.info/dash/bejne/m6x72cpqoK3IadI.html -WHEAT FARM(for mud bricks): kzread.info/dash/bejne/eWxs2tKRZM_Ul6Q.html -GUARDIAN FARM (for prismarine, ink sac): kzread.info/dash/bejne/eWxs2tKRZM_Ul6Q.html - DIRT TO MUD CONVERTER: kzread.info/dash/bejne/fnmeusGkdcu9dag.html kzread.info/dash/bejne/l2aus8Ouh87PZdY.html (Auto-dirt generator farms are pretty slow ~500/hr. Really not recommended. If anyone finds an efficient one please let me know.) Edit: source only half of the required dirt. dupe equal amount of gravel using stronghold portal duper, and then combine both to make coarse dirt, which can be converted into mud. Reduces no. of dirt mined. - DEEPSLATE: Not really a farm. Build quarries or you can use the wither. At y=59, build a long single strip mine with a chamber at one end. Spawn the wither and slowly walk through the strip while collecting deepslate. -GLASS/LANTERNS: Buy from villagers

I'm building this in my survival realm with friends and needed to break down the materials list to something we could easily visualize at a glance. Once I'd done all the math, I figured someone else who wants to gather the materials *before* trying to build the thing might appreciate having the list broken down in the same way! It's probably overkill to add, but just in case: 1 Shulker = 1 full Single Chest or 27 Stacks. 2 Shulkers = 1 full Double Chest or 54 Stacks. 1 Stack = 64 items Mud Bricks- 7 Shulkers + 19 Stacks + 24 Spruce Logs- 7 Shulkers + 18 Stacks + 3 Mud Brick Walls- 6 Shulkers + 7 Stacks + 6 Spruce Fences- 5 Shulkers + 10 Stacks + 30 Mangrove Logs- 4 Shulkers + 3 Stacks + 38 Stone Bricks- 3 Shulkers + 15 Stacks + 40 Dark Prismarine- 2 Shulkers + 24 Stacks + 11 Spruce Stairs- 2 Shulkers + 23 Stacks + 35 Spruce Planks- 2 Shulkers + 21 Stacks + 61 Dark Oak Slabs- 1 Shulker + 20 Stacks + 54 Spruce Slabs- 1 Shulker + 20 Stacks + 18 Deepslate Bricks- 1 Shulker + 20 Stacks + 10 Dark Oak Planks- 1 Shulker + 2 Stacks + 32 Packed Mud- 24 Stacks + 40 Dark Oak Stairs- 16 Stacks + 28 Dark Oak Fence- 15 Stacks + 45 Lanterns- 12 Stacks + 3 Stripped Spruce Logs- 11 Stacks + 45 Brown Stained Glass- 11 Stacks + 32 Deepslate Tile Walls- 11 Stacks + 22 Deepslate Tiles- 11 Stacks + 4 Chains- 7 Stacks + 20 Stone Brick Stairs- 6 Stacks + 4 Dark oak Trapdoors- 5 Stacks + 35 Iron Bars- 5 Stacks + 1 Polished Deepslate Walls- 4 Stacks + 38 Spruce Trapdoors- 3 Stacks + 60 Ladders- 3 Stacks + 24 Shroomlights- 2 Staccks + 57 Deepslate Tile Stairs- 2 Stacks + 40 Polished Deepslate- 1 Stack + 56 Stone Brick Walls- 1 Stack + 48 Chiseled Stone Bricks- 1 Stack + 17 60 Polished Deepslate Stairs 44 Gray Carpets 28 Warped Trapdoors 24 Spruce Doors 24 Deepslare Brick Stairs 8 Dark Oak Doors 8 Warped Stairs

Oh yay! Wonderful thank you so much I was hoping you would tutorial this one. I'm off to find the perfect piece of landscape for to build it on now. So much appreciated your hard work for these glorious builds.
This tutorial series is absolutely amazing! And intimidating to a degree. I have built dozens of castles, Japanese, medieval, Osaka castle by Cortezorino was cool I built it several times because it was so much fun. I looked at The Sanctum for weeks, and I love big builds but I'm on a PS4 and just preparing the areas can take forever. But your tutorial and the build itself is simply breathtaking. I have never had a build just amaze me to that level. Thank you for doing this! I'm a 53 year old widowed single Dad with a 16 year old son, he turned me onto Minecraft. Doing these big complicated builds really helps keep my mind sharp, and it's just absolutely fun to play/build. I am almost done with the first part, all I have to do is build the open gates! I am trying to take my time building it because I don't want it to end lol. So, thanks again!?

Oh I really do find value in it, I was a bricklayer for 20+ years but my back went wonky and had to retire from that. Then I had open heart surgery and had to stop working completely! That was tuff because I have always just got up every day and go go go. When my son showed me some of the builds he was doing a lightbulb went off! I can't build with real blocks and bricks but I can build anything with Minecraft. I have done all of the big tutorials-- I thought! I could never find a tutorial that was really big until your stuff started showing up in my search results. Thanks again and sorry for such long replies. I am having an absolute blast doing this and I'm taking my time because I don't want it to end😂. Have a good day and thanks so much!

Day 2 part 1 done (need to copy those on other sides)
I have been building this in bedrock block by block because I don't trust myself to do structure blocks in quarters but I have found that the actual measurements are 53 in length and I set sections of 12. You have the length on each side as 51. I had to have someone come in and structure block and move the sections for me to make it work!!
@SixWings
5 ай бұрын
That sounds really irritating. The measurements in the video a correct because they are the dimensions of the white lines. They're not block count, meaning that the corner block where 12 and 51 meet, is counted twice. Hope that makes sense.

Definitely makes sense. It is need up being fine after we structure blocked. I'm now 22 mins into video 3. It's been a challenge to say the least doing it block by block but it's rewarding and your builds are amazing!! @@SixWings

@@miasphrite4916 Thanks! i'm really glad to hear that. It is tough and takes a lot longer than you'd expect.
Do the materials you listed also count for the Stone Brick base/foundation?

Yes for, a hollow foundation.
Just OP
Will there be a tutorial for the mausoleum? Your builds are so good, cant wait for the materials list. Im gonna put my farms inside of this❤

At some point maybe. It's a very large build so I would have to plan out the best way to make the tutorial. It would somehow involve building the individual volumes in a rough version with measurements and then detail them afterwards, because the pillars and walls are so thick compared to The Sanctum.
