The San Lorenzo Market FLorence / Il Mercato di San Lorenzo Firenze
I recommend that you begin your visit of the San Lorenzo Market starting from the external section, which develops along the different and characteristic streets that surround the Central Market building. Hundreds of stalls on both sides of the streets display ceramic artefacts, clothing, stationery, souvenirs and various leather goods, including bags, belts, wallets and jackets. Another tip: take the time to go around and take a good look at all the stalls, before starting your purchases; there are so many things to choose from, that you risk having spent all your money even before you have passed the first row of stalls. Surely, here you will find nice souvenirs to take home to your friends or family, without necessarily having to spend an arm and a leg: in fact, there are objects on display at all prices, from 2 euros for a bracelet or a magnet. of Florence, more than a hundred for leather jackets, just to give you an example.

Do not, I repeat DO NOT, buy anything from the outside market stalls. It's nothing but imported junk they target to tourists. You won't find any locals shopping there and that's a huge red flag. Instead, walk through it as quickly as possible to get to an entrance to the actual market building itself. There you'll find locals doing their grocery shopping at some of the most amazing produce/meat/fish/cheese/wine/etc. stalls you've ever seen. If you get hungry, the first floor has a few stalls where you can get a meal and the entire 2nd floor is dedicated to restaurant stalls. Including an amazing lampradotto stall that won our hearts and stomachs (pun intended). It's a local favorite so we had to try it... and it was one of the best sandwiches we've ever had!

Thanks
We were there a month earlier. It is amazing to me that all those vendors pack all of their things every night and put it all in storage, and set it up again the next morning. There are some good eats in the Central Market. Georgia, USA.

Question! Are these leather goods made in Italy??

We had the same question when we were there. Turns out it's made elsewhere and only sewn together in Italy. Sadly, Italian law says they can still label it as "Made in Italy". For 100% "Made in Italy", there is the Florence Leather School where you can watch them hand-make everything and they will custom fit what you want. For gloves we went to Madova near Ponte Vecchio to ensure we got true "Made in Italy" high-end items. The best true "Made in Italy" handbags we found was during our stay in Orvieto. Look for the Federico Badia and Arte del Cuoio shops. Family operations dedicated to making truly amazing hand-made leather goods.
Please State The address every time , thanks. I just subscribed

Hi! Does anyone know where there are CHEAP SOUVENIRS near the cruise ships terminal port? Are souvenirs like postcards, magnets, stickers, keychains for 1 euro in Florence? If not, then how much are they? Are other items like charm pendants for 1 euro? What about the cost of cheap statues of famous landmarks? What about pins and their cost? Are there cheap coin purses or deck of cards? Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks for you help.
