They had to get better. That original hinge let sand and other small particles in.

I still see people in HK using the Fold 2 in the streets. You should place your fingers on the side of the Fold and close it like a book.

to fold it properly don't press in middle and fold it, just press on bottom plastic, not on the middle but bit on the side, and to open it you can just open it normally but slow and don't do it super fast. Oh and also make sure that there isn't any dust on the hinge when opening it and that there isn't any dust in inside screen in middle and on the sides when closing it
