I can't tell which ship it is specifically, but it's definitely Sverdlov-class (Project 68bis). It could theoretically be any of them but Ordzhonikidze or Admiral Nakhimov (which had been scrapped and sunk [as a target] respectively by the time this was filmed)

Mir hätte es natürlich besser gefallen, wenn es richtige Soldaten wären, die sich mit der Kunst beschäftigen und anderen damit Freude bringen, anstatt anderen Leid zu bringen. Aber dennoch: sehr gute Künstler! 👍.

Because of the upscaling, plausibly using AI. The original is fairly blurry and grainy, (but they still look like regular humans) so the upscaling system didn't have a lot to go by, and effectively did 'AI generate' their faces (from its best approximation of what they'd look like at a higher resolution)

It's real, the distortions are due to the upscaling, the people look normal in the original (albeit in low quality and with film grain) I still prefer that to this effect though. There's not a lot of information for the algorithm (or AI upscaler, depending) to go off for faces, and our brains are particularly adept at noticing incorrect human forms/faces, so the result looks uncanny and incorrect

I cannot tell definitively from any of these shots (no hull number, no other defining differences), but it's definitely a Sverdlov (Project 68bis) class cruiser, and thus in the same class as the Mikhail Kutuzov as you suggested. The only ones it definitively couldn't be are Admiral Nakhimov and Ordzhonikidze (since they'd been sunk as a target or scrapped earlier)
