There’s a theory that Peter didn’t die; the shot we heard at the end was fired by an allied soldier who killed Schroder since he had his gun out. Peter was then taken to the POW camp and was released several years later. That’s why he narrated the opening scene😂😂😂

it is kinda ironic isnt it? one of the best bf campaigns ever made in one of the worst bf's ever made. i cant even tell how often i played this camaign. it has everything. drama, action, revelation, a tiger... and it depicts very truthfully how war was on our side. as a german i had waited very long for this and it wasnt some cliches. and the end of the campaign? bittersweet.

Bud, I'm guessing english isn't your first language, so I'm going to give you a bit of a grammar correction. Instead of saying "how the war was on our side" which makes it seem like you think the nazi's were right and justified. Say "how the war was FOR our side" which would talk about the experiences of the soldiers.

People always asks: "Why Germans did not surrender? That would have saved many lives". Yes, but what people doesnt recognize is the fact that since 1943, Allies said Germany only could have a "Total Surrender" besides the plans for recognize slave Germans people so, they dont had any option: fight until the end or be a slave of the Allies

Also, while they were fighting for a murderous facist regime, they were also fighting to defend their homes and families.

One thing i appreciate in this campaign is the fact that they make me hate Schroeder but, at the same time, i can't hate him... He was just a boy following ideals that have been taught to him since he was probably a kid like many others young boys and girls under the third Reich... Thats why i cant feel happy nor sad if he is the one to die at the end or not, because, in war, there are not enemies or friends, there are just mans, womans, childrens, eldrely... There are only humans...

Now I have a theory for this just based off of seeing the cutscene enough times: first, Peter gets shot, but not by an allied soldier, it’s actually Schroder. Just before we here the shot, we here Schroder say what I think (google translate is weird so don’t @ me) he says traitor in German, now there are two versions a male and feminine version and I think he says the feminine version of traitor as it fits the best with what he’s saying. Also just as the screen is about to cut to black we see Schroder point his gun to Peter and once we hear the shot, it seems oddly familiar to Schroder’s when he shot Kertz.

Not really shure what you are referring to, since everything Schroder says is pretty much correctly translated with the subtitles, besides the fact that "Verraeter" literally means traitor as you ppinted out and not deserter (and he says the masculine version). He doesn´t say anything before he shoots Kertz just afterwards. If you refer to the what he says before the final shots at the end of the video, he just shouts "nein" which means no.

This isn’t a theory, this is exactly what the scene is implying happened…

i remember years and years of "give us a german perspective of the war" from a mainstream FPS. i am genuinely surprised what some would call the first woke battlefield actually delivered this request finally to fans and it was really good, although quite short.

This is a very good question no one can answer correctly but everyone can guess. What is your guess?

Based on what I know, having never played the game or DLC. I believe that Peter Müller did not die, and there are two reasons for this. The first is that we hear Schroder shouting 'No' in German before we hear a single shot. This likely indicates that Peter was shot, but survived, else he would not be narrating the story, which is the second piece of evidence.

the RCMP are under oath.

I never understood this scene at the end, was he killed by the allies or by the German kid?
