THE SAD LIFE IN AUSTRALIA /ABROAD, Kenyans in Diaspora Will Never Tell You This; Part 2.

Hello Friends,
This is the truth of so many immigrants, Africans/Kenyans living in Australia or Diaspora, and believe you me, no one will ever share this kind of bitter truth, but you know what , I have decided to share my truth with the world, this the reality. Don't be fooled by what you see on Tv and feel sorry for yourself, you are alright wherever you are. This video is by no means intended to discourage anyone wanting to relocate, no, this video is purposely for information only.
Disclaimer; I love Australia, there is no where in this video I have said I don't like Australia, I am just sharing my story, my truth, what I have gone through, do I regret being here? No. Please watch to the end before commenting, when I was relocating I was looking for such honest and brutal truth , unfortunately I didn't get, if I would have gotten such truth, I would have planned my relocation better.
if you haven't watched part one of this video, please watch here; • THE SAD REALITY OF LIV...

Lol, I have been here so long (20+ years) my family is so used to it that a month can go by before I get a call from home and to be fair and honest, I'm happy if I don`t get a call, 95% of the time you get a call from Africa, it`s please get me this money or that.I came to learn the hard way that if you are abroad, a single person living at home(in the village), not paying for rent, water or electricity wants you to believe they can not survive on $300 a month. Along the way I decided enough of this game, I send WHEN I want and send WHAT I want, if I don`t send, I`m still ok and don`t feel guilty about it. I played the game for too long, working until I thought I could drop dead so as to send money, not any more.

Imagine you have practices for ten years as RN in kenya and then you studied masters in Australia for two years or so, then you are told to sit for English test(s) and then you are told now go to another region. Anyway thanks for sharing and there is no surrender no looking back.

I was born in the UK and I live here. Jobs is a small part of it. If I wasn’t a counsellor myself, my mental health would definitely be poor. There is a lot of discrimination, isolation, racism, and other issues in Western countries that are affecting black people outside of the Caribbean and Africa and it’s really important to talk about it. Positive thinking is important but so is having honest discussions about the reality.

Very good advice given. Many people from Asia and Africa have big culture barriers to cross in Australia and New Zealand. What you have talked about is very true. You can not compare the U.K. or North America to Australia and NZ because the ex-part Diaspora is very small. U.S.A has a huge population of African descent for well know reasons. The U.K. has large number from its former Empire. Flying back to Africa is expensive which many people do not understand, where the U.K. has many links to Africa. Videos of how to get student visa make it sound so much more easier than it is, they do not explain the real cost of living.

I don't know if you've ever been in or lived in the USA; personally, l have resided in several parts of the western hemisphere, but candidly speaking the opportunities in the states do galore! And the chances of thriving for one, even become plethora with advanced career trainings. *However* , the only demerit with life in the USA is a hefty cost of living coupled with stressful environs, for instance, monthly bills & work hurdles etcetera! Thus: Here, am accentuating the numerous burdens of an *intensified capitalism* ; and to which many weren't born and bred into!

Plus, there is the possibility of getting PR after my studies. I have relatives who live in the diaspora as well, so my parents have an idea of how hard life is. Most of what you said can be echoed in my life as well. Especially the snitches. The worst one I have ever seen, the WORST of the WORST is an African that was a team lead in a leading multi-national company here in the UK. That Sudanese guy was, and still from what I hear, a racist towards other blacks and even his fellow compatriots. Oh but he loves the white. The dude came as a refugee, he luckily got a job and was promoted when they noticed he looks down upon his fellow black guys. Please folks, love one another. Mercy said something in the previous video, can't remember well but was of the effect; "If it doesn't add value or help the person and is negative, don't say it". Peace ✌️

@@JudeMarchisio He tried to get to management whilst been backed by white managers. He passed the interview and got to the position of step-up manager, which is a six month probation then he becomes a fixed manager. When white managers wanted to issue warnings to black folks, they requested him to chair the meetings and issue the warnings himself; so that he gets the complaints in case of appeals and their files stay clean leading to promotions. He even got my friend fired. That lady was supporting her family in the onset of pandemic and she left the company because of him. And yes she was Eritrean. Around 40 associates later on in the department he was working filed a formal written complaint to HR, signed it and he was investigated. He failed his probation and was demoted from management to team lead. They say he is now as cool as a cucumber.
