Went to all three in Vegas, was a phenomenal time every time! I miss it for sure, and I'm grateful to the person who threw it. Can now say that I've DJed a Vegas pool, haha.

Is there a reason why it cancelled and disappeared just like that? Like whoa the convention/events looks amazing, and i bet the attendees are increasing year by year, but why stopped after 9 years? Surely there's a reason?

@@SpamBoar NFC had record attendance this year IIRC and i've heard it's absolutely amazing. But in real terms what i'd consider the 'main' fur-cons that Europe has are: ScotiaCon - UK - February - ~1.1k people. NFC - Sweden - February - ~3.7k people. Confuzzled - UK - May - ~3.3k people. Eurofurence - Netherlands - September - ~3.4k people. Annoyingly, the smaller cons sell out really quick due to limited space. There's a UK con which (I believe) always happens around halloween and has a horror focus/theme. Registration for this year was sold out the first week of June. If you sort the list by attendance, 9 of the top 10 most attended cons are in the US with NFC taking that 10th spot. If you take the top 20 cons, 14 of them are US.

@@CaphireTheDragon Attended 4 editions of NFC so far...and everyone of them was a total blast. Let me tell you that lol They've had a second venue plus two party boats this year to spread the crowd out a bit. Restaurants in Malmö are giving discounts to attendees. There was a Ramen-place that was full of furries every night without being rented out by the con. After the con they've put a sign up "Thank's for the awesome week, furries! see you next year" So basically...with all the stuff going on, the whole downtown of Malmö was the venue xD And it's great for fursuiters...because it's winter :D

Oh....and the most awesome thing i've seen at any con was at NFC this year. Grimner, a swedish metal band, played an actual concert at the con, exclusively for NFC attendees.

ESG was so dope, I went at its last year in Vegas in 2016. I'll never forget the shuttles that went to Fremont street and the awesome suite they had for everyone.

I was at one of the fall events in Florida, on the private property that was being developed to be a hosting space. I asked around who was "Elliott"... And who was paying. The only details i got were, "a professional athlete and his partner". I didn't pry further, because at the time, it could have cost the athlete his career. I hope they were able to keep the property, because while it was no hotel, it was a great "relax and hang out" space... Movie theater, game room, dance hall, suit lounge with dryers, cafeteria with catered food, tennis court we just kind of took over as a sesh lounge lol, smoking lounge, private bar space for those old enough to drink, ... And there were plans to develop the property further... But could years later i heard they'd moved things to Vegas. I'm sure someone with sluething skills could probably narrow down which athlete it may have been... But all i know, is that space and one event, inspired me to want to build a compound for furries locally. With similar amenities and activity spaces. Because it was the first time i felt included in an event, even though i knew no one there at all. Well other than the person who has invited me to attend, and ended up driving me to it. Lol I'm sad to hear that things have "stopped". I know all good things come to an end eventually, but i had dearly hoped to be able to attend another king Elliott event. Life just got in the way however. :(

I'll never forget ESG2014, so bummed it's gone. :-( Yay you used my video :-) Never thought it was all that good, hated the wide angle adapter lens I used.

I've been Furry and going to cons since 2007. I learned about ESG but was always too broke to go. It'll forever be one of my big regrets. 😢

I never made the time to attend any of the ESG’s (I wish I did!), but all of the stories from friends who attended were pretty wild! I did attend only one meet, Elliot’s Fall Gathering in 2007. Seeing some of those fursuits sure did bring back some good memories!

Man, to think that Elliot's events evolved from that. I remember hearing about those events as far back as 2007 when I was in college, but I couldn't afford it at the time. Funny to think that was THE Elliot's and how the Furry Pawpit Show spawned a furry mecca in Florida. I think we also had Furloween or Howloween as well back then.

Free food and badges and shirts was so amazing I miss them so muchhhhhh

I’ve heard people talk about how they wanted to attended and that it was more for adults but never heard what happened or where they were hosted. Also the purple giraffe fursuit! I was at motor city fur con this year and saw a purple giraffe fursuit, now I’m super curious if it was the same person 😮

Great video as always! Sadly, this was before I was active in the fandom but it sounded amazing. With such generosity, I cannot blame them for them stopping and I hope they are still active and loved in the fandom

1 minute in, and it sound more like a turbocharged super duper uber furry meeting than a con.

That just looks like such a cool convention, unfortunately I was born to late to ever have a chance of visiting this con, was like 10 years old the year the last edition was made, although I will be looking forward to possibly going to my first ever furry con or meet this year or the next one as soon as I see one hosted near where I live in Mexico which are quite few and often far apart

As a Vegas local I would’ve loved to have gone to ESG. Especially with them hosting an event at Adventuredome. Furries at an amusement park is two of my favorite things combined lol

I don’t want to offend you or anything @SpamBoar but you look like puma from the lion king in a cool way (and yea I’m a frurry too so I know how sometimes fursuits accidentally look like cartoon characters without trying to be)

I have my own con that did that, sadly i think something like this would have been to great a cost to even eat anywhere or drink. Plus spending that much money ontop of the gambling all around feel like it can lead to worse times then a good one.

i wanna go to a furry con (i’m either a furry or a therian;not sure yet) but i’m scared 😿

btw furries and therians are two different things, you could be both! i recommend watching Stormi Folf's video on therians for more information. PDTherian has a lot of educational videos on their channel too

ESG Vegas was a fantastic time. I went twice, loved them both. Easily top 5 of ALL events I've ever been to.

Would have loved to go to ESG! I've always wanted to explore Nevada too and visit my favourite Fallout: New Vegas locations. Just sadly it's a little before my time. Though I believe Shugnussy and some of the other Vegas furs still do similar parties. In fact they came to Osaka and had a pretty big party after OFFF. Sadly I missed it because it was my first time in fursuit and I nearly died of mild heatstroke haha.

Oh sweet I heard about Elliots Gathering never went. And don't think I would ever have enough money to go. And I would feel under dressed being there would feel like I need a suit and tie the whole time. xD I did go to Further Confusion 2010 though and that was an experience too. :)

It does look like a super fun event, but I have a feeling why they aren't super widely spoken about/remembered From all the pictures Ive seen, it was primarily gay men, and a lot of the really popular gay furs were kind of dicks to pussy havers back then. Things have gotten a little better but still. I wish there were more event based cons these days, these gatherings look like they were really fun! I wonder what happened to the guy who threw them together
