To be honest, all the nerf did was make the Kyoto more deserving to be a show off combo. It was so easy to hit and you didn't even need to try. But now, you actually need to focus to use it

fair it was a pretty bad combo anyway, the damage was subpar compared to more basic combos. thing is now tho, with it being much harder, all garou players are truly the same, using the same combos, so diversity is lessened

The ragdoll for flowing is so random now. You have to get lucky with how they fling after flowing is done for you to actually have a chance to do whirlwind extension. As a very unlucky person I might as well just extend with hunter or dash.

for no shiftlock i would usually hold d then click q and 2 (make sure more force on qkey as in press faster) at the same time.

Me personally a good way to practice Kyoto without ps+ Is to do 4 regular m1s and side dash into whirlwind or flowing, ive hit Kyoto once per 2 hours at least (recently)

now thats why when i came back to sbg it was realy hard to just m1 someone (its maby bc of the hit box nerf or bc i didn't play sbg for to long)

the only variation of kyoto combo i do is the non shiftlock as it is way easier and i really did not notice a difference when it got nerfed

i think the nerf was unintentional just because the lethal whirlwind stream hitbox was pretty big, got hit while 10 miles away from a random guy

That’s why I couldn’t do it in public servers because I can do Kyoto on good ping but it wasn’t working yesterday

When I learned it, it was already hard for me and I always needed to try. I just un-shiftlock after 1 and then spam Q and 2, works for me

Spinning your screen makes it alot easy to hit kyoto because spinning your screen effects the player ragdol making them thrown in a position easy for you to hit

When ur dashing u also need to lethal whirlwhind stream at the same time ur dashing then after ur using ur second move

for some reason i do the kyoto combo like shiftlock and unshiftlock at the flowing water to lethal whirlwind

Low damage anyways. 3m1s into water, then side dash and catch with grasp. Then 3 more m1s and do the m1 extend dash hit after the 4th one. Catch them, slow hit as much as possible, then stream and spin dash to extend them again and they’ll die

I never used it and never saw a point into using it basically it's mostly for style points honestly than damage. I rather do air dunking, it's more fun doing it.

This makes me so mad I didn’t realize it was nerfed tho. It was way harder to hit and I didn’t know why. Thanks

the only thing that made it harder was just timing it but its not that hard, (mainly for no shiftlock and sidedash while holding a key) just press 2 when the persons body reaches ur back

u can see at 2:10 to 2:11 that even tho his hand was just a little above the opponent he couldnt nail it meaning that they decreased th hitbox fr so now u need to land the lethal stream right ont he body

i still can do the kyoto combo easily tho, so how to do it? Just do your basic m1 then flowing water, now you have to unshift lock then look at it like a 2D game then hold the D key and wait til the last hit then press Q and 2 at the same time (this is from other youtube tutorial btw). Practice this using your alt account since we can't land kyoto combo on the weakest dummy, i mean not we can't do it on the dummy, but its just to hard do it on dummy so just use your alt account for practice the kyoto combo

man ngl. when they made ut have a smaller hitbox. it got easier for me to land it. rip to those that dont train to fight people with small hitboxes.

4:48 the unshiftlock version makes it way easier also btw i land kyoto abt 50% of the time despite having 170 ping. I advise you to do unshiftlock version and look tutorials up also the nerf hasn't had that big of an effect on the combo itself. Incessant does without shiftlock version and he lands it quite consistently. I used to fail kyoto when doing shitflock but with no shiftlock it makes it way easier i advice u to do the same

From all these updates now from tsbg there’s a high chance they will remove things that make combos look better and they’ve already removed the 3m1 extender what are the odds they remove the loop dash extender?!

i learnt the kyoto combo AFTER the nerf without realizing so its way easier for me to do it now

Try the "original kyoto version" m4's to side dash to flowing water (i think it does more damage? Also its cooler imo)

I didnt even notice it got nerfed

If you wanna land kyoto the player must flip when the flowing water is done and then turn straigth forward and then lethal Hope this helps❤

OOOOOOH that's why i wasn't able to hit kyoto combo (i did land 1 or 2 times the kyoto combo)

It Isnt the end, The Strongest Battlegrounds Is becoming a ping based game more than timing based, This makes a lot of combos be hard to do. Thats a problem with Kyoto, Kyoto is instead timing based for the player (you) And Ping based the enemy (some random dude) Even tho it looks like its soon gonna end, The combo will never end until they nerfed it Enough. Another Problem would be High ping players. (like 560 ping) They are a ginourmus problem in combo history, You never know where they will teleport.

i mean, i can still do kyoto but it is mostly about timing it correctly now.

even tho ive only done that kyoto version 4 times ive notcied that because i should have landed it and they flew right past
