"The Sacredness of Twoness" | Lyla June Johnston

From the session:
ONE, NOT TWO: SACRED WHOLENESS | 2018 Festival of Faiths
Lyla June Johnston is an artist, human ecologist, public speaker, and community organizer of Diné (Navajo), Tsétsêhéstâhese (Cheyenne), and European lineages. Her multi-genre performance style has invigorated and inspired audiences across the globe towards healing. Her messages focus on Indigenous rights, supporting youth, inter-cultural healing, historical trauma, and traditional land stewardship practices.
-----------------------------
"From ancient times our faith traditions teach us that everything is inextricably united as a sacred whole. This eternal and perennial wisdom is hard to grasp by the human mind, which tends to see the world dualistically: right/wrong, male/female, sacred/profane. The contemplative, non-dual mind, however, can restore our understanding of the interdependence of all things. It holds paradox, and it is unitive.
This session will explore how unifying, and balancing the complementary feminine and masculine aspects of Divine Wisdom is essential to our approaching wholeness, and the non-dual mind."
-----------------------------
THE 23RD ANNUAL FESTIVAL OF FAITHS, 'Sacred Insight - Feminine Wisdom' is a five-day nationally acclaimed multi-faith celebration of music, poetry, art, film, and dialogue with spiritual leaders, practitioners, and teachers. 24 - 28 April, 2018 | Louisville, KY More Information: festivaloffaiths.org
The 2018 Festival explores practices, teachings, and insight rooted in Feminine wisdom. Speakers and artists from diverse backgrounds and faith traditions examine the Feminine aspects of God, non-dual thinking, the wisdom of the natural world, suffering, healing, emotional intelligence, and creativity. The Festival seeks to offer deeper insight into the Sacred Feminine in all of us.

Powerful! I grew up not knowing that my Grandmother Ruth was born on the Sisseton-Wahpeton Sioux Reservation (Dakota). I was about 42 before I learned that, but she was already gone. About a decade ago my life fell apart. Fortunately there was a Native American Circle ready to give me a home .. spiritual, cultural, familial. Now I'm a 71 year old cis but bi man. I appreciate my brothers and sisters of this sacred, important walk. Mitákuye Oyás'in. Aho!

Oh, I love your wisdom, you are an elder, reincarnated, Thank you for all your inclusion, I liked how you said that about women, (a man, was putting down another man the other day, and I heard him say, to the other man, "you are such a woman", like it was a put down, I told him, Nothing wrong with a Woman, that's who gave birth to you, that's where you came from) then I listen to your video today, and you talk about women, and men, and GBLT, community, I liked that you mentioned Pleiadies too, because Many original people on this Earth, their story of origins, say we come from the Sky People who come from Pleiades

Second comment: I believe in you as a good reference for women who suffer with brain injury, or PTSD. I have been listening to you for a little bit, since I came into mission Volunteer work. I met my Cesar doing this great work. Do you offer wedding ceremonies? I believe that Cesar would appreciate something like a good female pastor from his Cherokee group to marry us, and I would appreciate having my two priests be there. For witness. For support for both of us. You are a good soul, Lyla June. God bless your day.

THE BLACK MADONNA According to the historical, scholarly research of Laurence Gardner: Mary Magdalene was a Head Sister of the Nazarite Order (the equivalent of a senior bishop) and was entitled to wear black. In parallel with the early reverence for Mary Magdalene, a cult known as that of the Black Madonna emanated from Ferrieres in AD 44. Among the many Black Madonna representations that still exist, one of the finest statues is displayed at Verviers, Liege; she is totally black with a golden sceptre and crown, surmounted by Sophia's halo of stars. Her infant child also wears a golden crown of royalty. It is a well established fact that the familiar image of the White Madonna is founded upon the depictions of Isis, the nursing mother, and the Egyptian sister-wife of Osiris. Isis was specifically a maternal protectress and her cult spread far and wide. She was frequently portrayed holding her child Horus. It was she too who inspired the mysterious Black Madonna, of whose image there were nearly 200 in France by the 16th century. Some 450 representations have now been discovered worldwide. In some cases they are black all over, but many have only black faces, hands and feet, although not negroid in character. A few have been overpainted in pale flesh tones to conform with the standard White Madonna representation, while many have simply been removed from the public gaze altogether. The Black Madonna has her tradition in Queen Isis and her roots in the pre-patriarchal Lilith. She thus represents the strength and equality of womanhood -- a proud, forthright and commanding figure, as against the strictly subordinate image of the conventional White Madonna as seen in Church representations of Jesus's mother. It was said that both Isis and Lilith knew the secret name of God (a secret held also by Mary Magdalene, 'the woman who knew the all'). The Black Madonna is thus also representative of the Magdalene who, according to the Alexandrian doctrine, 'transmitted the true secret of Jesus'. ... She is black because Wisdom (Sophia) is black, having existed in the darkness of Chaos before the Creation.

You're wrong about a number of things the left hand path is the path of Ha Shatan. Just because someone writes right to left doesn't mean they are left handed otherwise all the people in Israel would be left handed! Also I draw the line at getting spiritual advice from Beyonce who is a known witch and as for Zeus he is a pagan god and is an abomination to the Most High.

TWONESS The physical, material world of 3 spatial and 1 temporal dimensions is necessarily a world of Duality, because nothing can be expressed with something different or other to serve as a contrast. When no other, no difference, exists, then Non-duality exists. The spiritual world beyond the limits of the physical 3-D world, is Non-duality, because everything is an undifferentiated, interconnected part of the All, the One, the totality of everything that exists. Paradoxically, every point in space and time is simultaneously the Center of the All. Both the physical, material world and the spiritual world are really real in their own dimensions. The physical Newtonian world is equally as real as the physical Quantum world, but they have different properties. The Quantum world can transcend physical space-time, as has been demonstrated in replicated, scientific experiments. Under specific conditions, physical matter can be made to levitate and disappear into another dimension and be make to return back to visible, gravity-bound matter. We, as spiritual beings or souls who have a body, in contrast to bodies that have a soul (consciousness, energy), exist in the physical world but are not of the physical world.

Beautiful, but there is fear to express in the conversation. One can cut it with a knife, so heavy it is, fear the other won't hold compassion... Shall we rise from this and plagiarism obsession. We make art sterile this way. Souls need authentic deep art.We get so empty in self expression due to fear of being listen only to be criticized and destroyed after.
