The Sacred Obligation Motivated by Beauty: Iain McGilchrist, John Vervaeke & Daniel Schmachtenberger

Maybe I am just uneducated but in my search for meaning through youtube clips like this, I find myself constantly feeling like I am at the edge of some discovery about my existence. However, I never get there and when I focus on the present I see a string of buzz phrases being used that appear to meaningless in the absence of the answer I never arrive to.

I don't think you'll ever find it through a computer. You need to get up, leave the screen behind and go out into the world, into nature. It has to be experienced.

I admire the work of all three, but remain astonished that Iain McGilchrist can apparently find so few women to converse with.

I agree. While I have great admiration for the man and his thinking, he does have what I call "old white man syndrom" (very tounge-in-cheek), with very conservative views regarding women, race (just using the term when there's no scientific basis for it) and culture (the superiority of Western culture). While I agree on his criticism of leftist/woke culture, I think he leans too much towards the other extreme at times. Possibly as a reaction to the status quo. He sometimes betrays his own philosophy by being too left-hemispheric, ironically. But I won't disregard him just because some of his political views don't align with mine. Although my LH does react strongly to some of his views, my RH can still appreciate all the rest.
