@@selia6703 Scott has said that he left it up to interpretation because this the happy ending for this character he’s playing. Season 2 won’t be the same empires, it’ll be new empires, new roles, new alliances. This information comes from his 12 hour stream on twitch that happened yesterday when the finale came out.

@@selia6703 He also said that EVERYONE will be getting an invite back to season 2, He also said that he and some of the empires members talked about it, and some of the people we can expect to return (Not 100% being there, but some we can at least EXPECT.); Scott, Lizzie, Jimmy, Katherine, Gem, fWhip, (can't remember if he mentioned Pearl or not but I'm just going to put this here Incase I'm correct.). That's all I can remember currently but yeah, this is again all from the 12 hour stream. But in the stream he said that season 2 will either be a marvel type of thing where it's"Earth 1" "Earth 2" and so on, OR it will be set Millennia's in the future with like ruins of season 1's empires.

THIS WAS AWESOME! I was so sad when I saw people titling their videos with “FINALE,” but this was SUCH a good ending and I’m so happy I got to follow this trip the whole way through. Can’t wait for what’s next!

My guess is that at the end, because the rune sword takes the soul of the target and puts it in whatever afterlife the user wanted them to have, when he stabbed himself he said he thought of that happy world so that's his afterlife!

**Me realizing a month later** SHUBBLE AIN’T GOIBG TO BE IN SCOTTS “HAPPY ENDING” If you don’t get it: In Shubble’s lore she only went to the place of all the empires because of Xornoth. In the place Scott is in at the end, we see Xornoth that has never been corrupted, therefore Shubble would never interact with Xornoth leading her to where all the empires are.

well, im not sure where i read this, but im pretty sure it wasnt just xornoth and it was the anscestors and stuff that did most pf the damage

I literally could not stop saying "OH MY GOD.." For like, 5-10 minutes I was not expecting that ending and my jaw literally dropped when Scott said, "I don't need you in here to kill you, when I'm right here" I knew there was a reason that "One cannot live without the other" prophecy was included, but I thought it'd be to keep Xornoth alive, not for Scott to just fricking unalive himself. And with the way the ending scene played out, I can't wait to see what comes in the next season This series has truly took my breath away from Scott's perspective alone, so now I'm going to catch up on some other perspectives while I wait for the next season, and in honor of my first time watching this series, I think I'm going to start each season with Scott's perspective. Thank you, Scott For this wonderful adventure

For the ones asking; Scott voiced Corrupted Xornoth, his friend Tycer voiced Human Xornoth(Someone that’s not in the smp), and almost EVERYONE in the smp body acted Xornoth.

When I saw everyone else's perspectives and saw "THE END", I was thinking it is the end of an amazing era, but now that I see it will return for another season, I think it'll be even better than the last and I can't wait to see who all of the people involved are! The ending of everyone's videos are all different which is really cool to see, and this one is always the best! Great job with this season Scott and I'm really looking forward to season 2!

When Scott came back and we saw the demon as a normal person it reminded of Seven deadly sins.

This is the most heart warming ending I could've imagined, this whole series was incredible! It was probably my favourite season, of anything, ever. Well done to you, Scott and all the other creators who took part. :)

OH THAT ENDING IS ADORABLEEEEE I put off watching everyones endings after watching lizzies because i didnt wanna be sad, but im glad i finally gathered some courage to watch this :') it was so sweet to see how it all turned out for you after all :)

@@imtooobsessedwithglee5767 well, we got a good finale out of the storyline, the EmpiresS1 versions of Scott and Jimmy have their happily ever after just like the 3rdLife versions did. I like the way this group writes lore that includes ship-able characters that aren't tied to the real people behind the roles, so fans don't have to feel weird about imagining real people as a couple who might not be irl.

The flower husbands ending literally made me so happy I can’t even begin to describe it! Honestly Empires is one of my favorite SMPs next to Rats

I just rewatched all of empires and I'm actually crying because of the ending again, just so happy Timmy was there and so excited for season 2 today

Oh. My. Gosh!! I cried so much during the whole ending!!😭😭 So good!!!!❤️ - I have a few questions though. What happened to all the other Empires? When Scott reset everything did they all return to their empires the same way, but with no memory of Xornoth? How will season 2 happen? Will it start as Scott and Jimmy living happily as flower husbands and play out as a game of house type deal?

They aren’t doing the same empires lore in season 2, Lizzie won’t be an Axolotl, Joey won’t be using jungle themes, Scott won’t be king of Rivendell, Xornoth has a 99% chance of NOT having a reappearance. Scott mentioned that they’re thinking it’ll either be like Millennia’s in the future with ruins of the past empires OR it will be like a Marvel type of thing where is like “Earth 1” “Earth 2” “Earth 3” so on and so forth.

That ending was amazing! We’ve all been waiting for Xornoth to come back but not like this and the fact that Scott wished for a happy life in Rivendell is so sweet!

Honestly this was such an amazing ending to the first season and that last bit with Jimmy was soo cute

idk if the ending is sad or happy tbh but holy crap this series is amazing I can’t wait for season 2 :D

i'm so emotional over the ending like legit tears you were the one who introduced to the empires and everyone else i never thought i'd get so attached when i started but the days with new empires episodes were always the best ones thank you for putting so much into these series i'll go finish crying before watching finale episodes from the others

I don’t think this is a happy ending…. You have to remember that the sword sends people to the limbo of the wielder's desire. Scott sent himself into a better world for his limbo. And I wonder if this series will continue on with Scott trying to get out or if this really is the ending. It’s bittersweet NOT happy. Edit: I know that there will be a season two! I just didn't at the time.

It stills shocks me till this day that scott was just talking to himself but with a voice changer MIND BLOWING

I love this series, I’ve been watching it from everyone’s point of view, and it’s sad that it’s over, and I wish that they’d have an empires 2, where they have to rebuild the ruins of EACH OTHER’S empires
