THE RS3 GETS NEW BRAKE PADS | EBC YELLOWSTUFF! (HOW TO REPLACE PADS ON TTRS & RS3)
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
I’ve installed new EBC yellow stuff pads to the front as it was an advisory when the car failed it’s MOT! These are a very popular all round pad, can’t wait for the bedding in process to be over!
Enjoy.

Thought I’d leave the clips in of me attempting to remove that bottom pin from the calliper, just to show how long and annoying it can be 🤣 it was really stuck in there, be patient and use more force if necessary. This is why you get supplied with copper grease 😎
Another great video! Just before Christmas i installed the EBC yellowstuff front and back on my 8P; was running the redstuff but they were starting to leave residue on the discs leaving me with vibration when braking . I have about 500 miles on them; these pads are no joke. They stop the car! Still nursing them for another 500 miles; pilot super sport 4s going on this coming week it’s going to be fun. If anyone has braking issues with their 8P consider giving these pads a try.

Thanks very much mate! That’s very annoying about the redstuff pads! I’ve only heard good things about the yellowstuff mate, perfect all rounder and stop the car brilliantly. You won’t regret getting those tyres mate they’re spot on. I run the PS4S’s all round and they’re no joke 🔥
Another great video 👍 keep em coming

Much appreciated mate! They’re cracking pads, you won’t regret it 👌🏼
Tape up round the pins to stop paint damage
Love it mate, great video😃🙌🔥

Thank you mate 😎🙏🏼
It reminds me when I was younger and not so handy. When hitting the pin the tool could be also reverse, so the side with larger area could hit the pin and the hammer the narrow side.
Helps if you grab the right tools. 5mm punch and 5kg hammer.
Fair play mate, nice work 👌

So you would say it would be a good choice for stock 17 A4 all stock for daily driving?
Can i use this brake pads for a ceramic brake?
Always apply copper grease to the back of the pads even with shims on.
@AutoBay

Really bud? What benefit will it have on the back of the shim?
@karlchadwick2667

The shims are to stop the squealing, but over time they can rust. Copper grease forms a film to help prevent this. I work at Ferodo so have a little knowledge but it’s only advice.

@@karlchadwick2667 I see mate! That makes perfect sense. I may even add some if need be pal. Won’t take long to take them out quickly. Thanks for the advice Karl 👌🏼

@@AutoBay second that! Any contact patches as well - so the top and bottom edges of the pad where they will slide. Won’t matter too much on this style of Caliper, but it will when you change the rear pads as they’ll be sliding on metal retainers. Wire brush and copper slip will ensure pads slide smoothly and don’t seize onto the disc👍🏽

Is this between pad and shim or shim and caliper ?

Thanks mate! Yeah they’re still good to be honest! I haven’t replaced them in the 10 months I’ve owned it, I’d have to check my paper work and see when they were done 🤣👌🏼

Depends on your 80% use case. Pick the pad whose strengths are best suited for the purpose most commonly used.
hi, did these yellow ebcs work well with this braking system?
@AutoBay
Жыл бұрын
Very well mate, I’m still loving them. Especially now they’re bedded in! Highly recommended. However, there’s a fair bit of brake dust on these compared to standard, but nothing a quick wheel wash won’t get rid of 👍🏼
