oh to live in the early 70's again. went to Irving Jr. High. my girlfriend's & I sat in the "portal" on W. Martin St. & listened to KUKA radio station. (& KEDA). go to the Patio Andaluz on Sundays (matinees). Gyro's on Friday nights. Will treasure those years! Really miss San Antonio when I remininis.

It reminds me of my college at St. Edward's University. David Marez and the Royal Jesters were a great band. Classic Music !!!!! 1979 St,. Edward's CPA

Unfortunately Tejano groups have not been well marketed. This is a good example of great voices, great arrangements, and great musicians. But radio wouldn't play them to expose them to a bigger market audience. Radio stations to this day play Mexican groups from Mexico. Little Joe Y La Familia has been successful in marketing himself through the Indian casinos.

And they use to call this "TexMex"... "Tejano" music today should be called "TexMex" because of the accordion factor. That title "Tejano" music better fits this band and others of their days!!!!

This is a Vicente Fernandez cover the Jesters gave it a beautiful melodious harmony.. Vicentes is a bitter angry macho style.. The only thing Vicente did not do on the song is fart!!!
