Dang it, I really wanted to see you build it out. I have a Royal Enfield Int650 with YSS rear shocks, YSS fork upgrade, DNA filter, DNA open air box cover, TEC free flow exhaust with TEC slip-ons, S&S performance camshaft, S&S performance pistons and a Power Commander that's tuned. Next up is to put her on the Dyno. Absolutely love this bike! Not my primary bike and not the fastest bike, but so fun to ride.

I've almost the same components on mine except the power commander, mine is a piggy back ecu and I've got Pirelli Sport Demons and I've got the AEW exhaust, rest are the same specs as yours. Mine gives around 62bhp on crank.

My first is a KLX300SM. I love American gigantismness. I’ve honestly had the Scram 411 in mind as a second bike, however I’m concerned with it keeping up with U.S. traffic and ultimately being fun on backroads. American traffic sucks, and you kinda need some extra performance.

I must admit that I really do find the US attitude to beginner bikes is weird! I mean, in most other countries a beginner bike is 50-125cc. A 650 would be regarded as a rather large bike!

I still think it would be an awesome series!! Take bikes you have dunked on and turn them into track machines!! Versys 650 comes to mind 😂 I'd watch that, see what you have to do to improve all these machines!!

@@PureCountryof91 I've seen that video. I would like to see a series like that though. Take regular bikes and show mods to make it track worthy. Like yam said he was going to do with Royal Enfield. I've seen a guy put mid controls on a Vulcan S and track it. Would be a cool series. Spring swap, power upgrades, tires, track times before and after.

Me and my Brother are new riders. I got the MT-03 and he got a INT650. I rode both bikes and his bike is much better in almost every area. His bike did cost a little more(1.5k) but well worth it. I am thinking of trading my bike in for a INT650. The MT-03 is a good bike, but not very comfortable compared to the INT650. If I could go back in time I would have got a INT650 over the MT-03.. It is just a better overall bike for a very good price.... Anyways the only reason i did not get it was because people told me that the brand was crap.... Well, i did not see that with his bike... My MT-03 is nice, but his bike is a little higher quality....

I agree with that. The INT650 is fun to ride.

I chose a Continental GT as my main bike, after 40+ years of riding. I added S&S high compression pistons, and cam (no problems ordering them from the UK), a Stratos air filter, TEC parts 2 into 1 exhaust system, and a power commander. Added about 13hp. Which really does make it a very different, but still great fun, bike.

The announcement for this build has 98,000+ views - that's 98K disappointed viewers who only got to see you put on a new master cylinder.

As a returning rider looking to enjoy and don't need massive performance this looks good. Fun on mtn twisty roads is my intent so I will add this to my list

So about this video on Honda CB 1000R? I asked about a video for the Honda cb1100 for over a year but there's not many in America of them n figure the cb1000R is more in line with your channel smartest n looking at buying one

I love mine. If you’re looking for this aesthetic and you’re a beginner, these are probably the best choice. You could spend more money on a Triumph if you got it but I don’t think it’s worth it for a first bike.

Would have been great to have entered for this hike in Australia, I'll have to check it out in a shop here

I wish it had a kickstart as well as the electric push button, just to complete the traditional look

To be fair, a track spec royal enfield 650 is nearly 1 minute slower around Road America than a 400cc Junior Cup race spec bike. I was there for the Motoamerica races in June and I was surprised when I was watching qualifying to see the times. I would say a bike a full minute slower around a 4 mile track than a 400 is still pretty beginner friendly. I suppose I can concide that the ride would probably be pretty harsh though.

I don’t think the Royal Enfield 650 is a good nor economical platform to build a race bike on. My primary bike is a Enfield Intercepter 650 that I enjoy putting around town on, but when I want to go out for a rip I take my older Ducati Monster out. A used Ducati is still going to cost far less than a built Enfield 650, and will out perform the Enfield on the track in every way.

Hey Yammie, can you suggest something for the Royal Enfield's brake bleeder valve replacement? I'm having trouble finding the part.

I've got a re 650 and I've had nothing but trouble with it. It keeps breaking down and dying. It's been to the dealership at least 5 times and it's to the point that even the dealership has no idea what is wrong with it. I got it brand new and it's only done 2000km on it and it's just a lemon. Don't get me wrong it's a great bike to ride but it's been at the dealership being repaired more then I've had it in my shed.

The dealer isn’t necessarily the best place to find an issue like that, amazingly. Check the kickstand sensor, as that is a common reason for a motorcycle to keep stalling. It might have gotten messed up somehow, or be just defective. If you’ve checked that already, perhaps take it to an electronics technician to trace the issue. They’re far more knowledgeable than the guys at the dealer. Best of luck, and don’t get discharged. This is normal stuff for being a motorcycle owner.

@@wolfmanradio the dealership has a work shop and they have checked everything you have said. They tried the electrical components they tried the key barrel and the stand sensor. They even tried the earth wires and the battery

@@haydiconway998 There is a tip-over sensor somewhere under the seat and behind the side panel. This is a commonly overlooked component that can cause issues like this. If you can, telephone or email Royal Enfield of Fort Worth (in Texas, USA) for help. They’re more knowledgeable about the bikes than most of the other service dealers, and will be happy to help you. Don’t lose faith, the problem will be found and fixed. Please keep us posted on what happens.

Im glad you didnt destroy it, their great as is but with really small improvements airbox, airfilter, and the fuel lead thing about $150 you can get 10hp more out of it.

Sence when is a 650 CC a beginners bike? Defentley not if you never have ride a motorcycle before. A 125 CC that's a beginners bike , ore dead is close by

Maybe you can try my INT650 out and see how you like it with the 865 kit, clutch and camshaft upgrades.

So does the word sweeping when it comes to analog gauges meaning the sweep of the needle? Cuz I would have no clue what else that would mean
