The Royal Duchy and The Torbay Express - 2nd August 2015

Two views from Nailsea of 34067 Tangmere on the Royal Duchy, followed by one of 60163 Tornado at nearby Chelvey, with the Torbay Express.
Both locos then pass through Dawlish, approximately twenty minutes apart.
Tornado is turned at Churston and coaled at Paignton before returning to Kingswear, past Goodrington.
Two shots from Teignmouth as Tornado heads back to Bristol.

These videos you make Martyn and Alan’s editing are just such wonderful high quality. I’m not a train buff as you know, but at a time when things are tough for me personally these lovely tributes that you present to those old locomotives, from a wonderful bygone era, are a real tonic mate.

Some of the very best video of steam locomotives and trains I've seen! Thank you! Stunning camera work, and none of those silly fore-shortened shots that make the rails look curvey, and the engines seemingly puffing furiously without going anywhere!! Loved it.

Great video Martyn. Some cracking shots of 60163. The guys smile at Teignmouth sums it all up really. 34067 sounded rather sick in the first two shots. Never heard that kind of sound from a Bulleid before. A shame that she failed (again).

Christopher Searle Thank you Christopher for your kind comment. Yes it was a shame about 34067's no show on the return as it meant an abrupt ending to our video and then a long drive home. I do apologise for not replying sooner only I wasn't alerted by my computer that you had done so.

Superb video. Wonderful choice of locations. Looks like you got a bit wet by the sea at Dawlish. That Goodrington shot is brilliant. Enjoyable watching C&A

EMuksteam Thank You C&A. Although on one occasion a few years ago I did get hit full force by the sea near Teignmouth, this time I managed to stay dry.

Robert Masterman It was a shame that the day ended abruptly like it did. But at least we got some good footage and had an enjoyable day in the West. Thanks as always Bob.
