Baby William seems super hungry, he’s literally chewing away on his mums little finger.. but the helpless mother can’t excuse herself to feed her baby..!

I remember in Andrew Morton's book that Diana was very unhappy with the time of the christening because it was going to interfere with William's feeding time. Of course no one listened to her and poor William was just not a happy camper

Perhaps Diana was young and naive but she knew what feeding schedule her child was on and no one listened to her resulting in a cranky baby, a situation that would stress any caring mother

Plus, I do not see any difficulty in asking the mother about feeding time and work around that. It just shows that Diana had no support even in her husband, who just followed the rules instead of fighting for what is important to him.

It's cruel to let a baby suffering hunger. Diana was a good mom, knew what her son needed. They should have accommodated but there was too much pushback it seems. Like they were trying to prove a point to Diana. Pictures are not that important that they cannot wait 20 mins for a baby to eat.

Diana was furious she is so red in the face. It looked like she wanted to curse the whole Royal bunch. Lol lol

I would wager that his screaming is the REASON the sound was taken off. Leave it to the Royal Family to always attempt to make everything look “perfect” and as if they aren’t normal people. It would also have been painfully evident to the hundreds of people watching this footage that they were deliberately postponing feeding a hungry baby all in the name of “putting on a good show”. And starving a “future KING”, no less. If they were willing to not prioritize the well being of a child this high in the line of succession, then I can only imagine the type of neglect that some of the other Royal babies/children suffered.

Anne's disgusted face when the baby cries. I remember when she slapped baby Peter's face with a cloth instead. Lots of mothers there and no one to support Diana. They just wanted to keep the pose for the photo.

Well, she couldn't possibly be disgusted by, oh, I don't know, the obnoxiously long photo shoot, the fact that they wouldn't stop to let Diana feed the baby, something someone said, a bad day, not feeling well, etc. It was CLEARLY the crying baby that was the problem.

Ta rodzinka ma niemieckie korzenie. Trzeba poznać styl wychowywania dzieci u germancow, żeby wiedzieć że preferują tzw. zimny chów. Potem się dziwią że dzieci jako dorosłe odwracają się plecami do rodziców. Królowa matka była szkotka ale nie było na dworze królewskim bardziej msciwej i podlej kobiety niż ona.

Diana breast fed apparently, I also breast fed my two children. When they want feeding you start to have milk flowing from your breasts your body is in sinc with the baby. It was cruel to not be able to feed him.

How cruel it was for a group of adults exploiting a starving baby for fancy photos. Very hard to watch.

I think it's true what they say that your child can feel your anxiety most definitely and clearly, as all eyes are on Princess Diana as she give Prince William her pinky to suck. I truly felt sorry for her surrounded by old fashioned pompous traditions that are no longer relevant then or now. Always remember when Princess Diana died and the queen Returned back to Buckingham Palace, surrounded by angry crowds of people disgusted in the way the royal family distance themselves, which displayed a sense of disrespect towards our Princess Diana. I remember in the documentary the Queen saying we don't do things like that in public as if that was acceptable although, it was acceptable that her son PC was having a sordid affair with a married woman who clearly brought shame on the royal family. Do we really need all these pompous old timers living in luxury at the expense of the taxpayers?

I hated the way they treated Diana but in reality the Queen wanted to keep the boys at Balmoral because their mother had just died. She was forced by public pressure to bring them to London and trot them out for public display ..we can see even today how traumatized Harry is by this whole time frame. She should have lowered the flag to half mast..she should have given a televised speech to the hurting nation from Balmoral as soon as Charles returned with Diana but I thought it was cruel to bring the boys back to chaos.

By that, you must mean pacifiers? Yes, they did, but the jury was out on how long a baby could use them without the pacifier misshaping the mouth so the permanent teeth were shifted forward. My twins, born in 1975 donated their 'binkies' to the ponies down the road when they turned 4 & they both had a perfect set of teeth...not sure about the ponies teeth though :)
