I enjoy the small things, like when they went into pirouettes I saw the one guy sporting a secret smile in a turn. These small signs that they really enjoy this is what fascinates me beyong everything else.

They do and gymnast to which you might want to consider the toll in the pain and the suffering that they go through with their feet which nobody talks about or the arthritis are the back compression or the bad news or the hip replacement surgery that happens with some of them you need to understand that these people are damaging their bodies for perfectionism and looking good on a stage and are addicted to the sadomasochism of it whether they admit it or not

She actually could. If you happen to have all the things a ballerina should have. Like flexibility(which you can work on), coordination, the right attitude, the body, strength, picking up combination fast etc. Luckily most of the things you can work on. I know someone that started at 18 and is now studying at the national ballet... She is even better than the ballerina's that started young. So it's truly never to late. As long as you got passion and you work hard. Just hurry a bit haha.
1:30 This is just like another language and I have no idea how the dancers understand her so easily/quickly. WELL DONE!

It actually is another language. In dance we use a lot of French terms :)
@josephkemp8987
8 жыл бұрын
+Morgan Taylor in the early stages of ballet a lot of its development happened in france and Italy. most of the terms are in french. Being trained you learn these terms like the back of your hand. most of the combinations show up in every class just in different order. This is why its so easy for dancers to grasp the combo so fast.

+MsBabbi I really wish Yuhui could be promoted to Principal. I agree she is an exquisite dancer, so graceful and light, but I do think she has 'star quality', too. Perhaps the RB doesn't see that extra charisma or whatever in her? Too timid maybe? There obviously are a lot of components necessary to make a great Principal, but I really think she's got whatever it is (although I'm just a ballet fan, not the Director, of course!). Ah well, at least she gets some good solos.

Thank you for making ballet entertaining!xx

Pretty much everything is brilliant about this ballet videoclip: the pianist is Brilliant; the dancers are all so elegant, graceful and flexible, and the teacher has a perfect balance of firmness and gentleness/kindness in her
I like how each dancer is in a way personalizing each exercise but doing different arms, some of course are the same but when they aren’t specifically told on what to do with their arms, it’s really interesting on how they choose which arms to do, based on what they think suits best or feels most natural. Truly lovely
I think this is my favourite company class, love Jackie's voice. Wonderful to watch. Thank you ROH
This has rapidly become one of my favorite videos to watch, and in large part due to the music (!) teaching, and Steven McRae's brilliant execution of a baterrie combination close to the end. His speed and precision are extraordinary!
I hope that the next World Ballet Day includes the Barre section of the beginning. It's just as fascinating to watch as the second half, and it's a true shame it was left out.
So fun to see dancers who have since become principals and how much they have developed!
The dancer with the red leotard on 6:41 and shorts! I loved to see her, it was great to see someone with my body type on a ROH ballet class 🥺 she doesn’t have thin muscular legs like other ballet dancers but she had big muscular ones and broad shoulders AND SHE KILLED IT ON CENTER! It feels good to see someone like me!
Refreshing to see a bit of variety in the body types of the female dancers.
after have watched a lot of company's videos from everywhere i think the RoyalOperaHouse is ne of the best , with the most beauty, clean , soft tecnique....so now i know where i'm going to dance someday
Wow, I take ballet 4 times a week and it's HARD WORK. This looks so tiering. I applaud them for what they do!!!!!!!
So stunning! 8 years later and sending positive vibes back through time!
This is the Royal Ballet Class I most enjoy watching. Really inspiring.
As i ballet dancer myself, all i can say is that even though ballet might not be the hardest thing to do, its definetly up there on the top 10
the level of strength these amazing and gifted dancers have is beyond wonderful.
Just as a sort of interesting point - many years ago, I was working for Epsom Coaches and on quite a few occasions I had the pleasure of picking up the students and teachers from White Lodge and take them wherever - on one occasion I was about 15 minutes late and as I drove in one very serious looking lady told me off in front of the waiting dancers, about 13 years of age, and I felt like a very naughty schoolboy!! Talk about "put in my place". Anyway, she gave me a cup of tea when I got them all safely back! I appreciate all the hard work and pain these dancers endure to achieve their goal.
Even when you’re a professional dance teachers will still shout out stuff every two seconds!
Beautiful to watch. I can only imagine...
The accompanist is briliant!
wow i wish i had legs like that.
I love so much this class: the exercises' choreo, the dancers' fluidity and the pianist... there's magic here!!
I love how sometimes, some dancers are doing a few moves which aren't in the combination, you ca truly see how they feel while dancing, very beautiful.
i admire their memory. the lady speaks so much so quickly and everyone is all like "ok, lady. got it, lady". i'd stand there gawking and asking her to repeat it at least 10 more times before there was any chance for me to remember it. Also the read headed guy in colourful pants seems really graceful. i have no idea if he really is that great but he seems to be.

it's truly amazing how they pick up the combination so fast, I've been dancing for 9 years and I still need my teacher to go over the combo like 3 times😂

This is SUCH am amazing class with such BEAUTIFUL dancers!
Just watching this is exhausting! All the dancers are perfect I love it ❤️
Look at David Donnelly's foot at 2:10. Wow! Then look at that fantastic line in arabesque. A future star.
The teacher is great❗ テンションが上がるレッスン。振りもわかりやすいし、メリハリが効いている。 ピアニストの選曲も良かった。
Natural ability and good bones/flexibility/ and body ratios ARE FAR MORE IMPORTANT than an eternity of practice. I was in ballet....and I can vouch for this fact. It's a rare ballet dancer or student, who can attain the level of a world class dancer despite all the practice in the world!!!!
They are simply so beautiful I want to cry. This is what inspires me to keep trying to get onto pointe. Their different attire is quick confusing, I thought that a simple dress code was required.
Love that the public was invited into class! Thank you! 👍🏽 The commentary was a bit distracting though.
