    Pressure affects the wideband reading. Positive pressure will make a rich mixture read even richer than it actually is. You really need to read the pressure of the exhaust manifold of both sections to correct for the reading and\or verify the readings across both o2 sensors. I've done pre turbo wideband setups before.

  • @lucky7s94

    Rob, I've always wondered if some of your tuning & spark plug issues revolve around what i believe is a flaw & phenomenon in the design of the rotary engine.. to give you a visual, place a rotor in a housing with the apex seal over a spark plug hole. Would combustion mixture leak past the seal at this moment into the expanding intake volume because of the plug holes? Surely the amount that gets past the seal varies with rpm and pressure difference on either side of the seal. Not sure if this is an overlooked phenomenon in the rotary world, but I figure this might be food for thought. Not sure how an alternative ignition source or solution of other means could be devised where it wouldn't allow for compression leak but if it is however possible, it would achieve greater efficiency.

  • @iits_seb6976

    @iits_seb6976

    Жыл бұрын

    I think you have a point and I have considered this but came to the conclusion that the seal is moving so fast over a small enough area that the difference in compression if it were completely flat is quite low.

    I doubt you need to be told this but you can also read your timing on the plugs. There will be a defined line that works its way up and down the ground electrode as timing becomes more and less advanced. What a trip. Learned it on youtube troubleshooting my old westfalia. We don't have the modern data or even a wide band. Should check out "Gunsten Colortune" if you want real visual mixture feedback. Looking forward to the next one, dude. I've got a semi-pp rx3.
