One of the best writers in the English language today and a very informative and entertaining speaker, as well. Excellent exposition of the many problems that I saw on a trip to Europe in April of this year. There seems to be a feeling of unreality over there.

***** So sad to hear that. I'd love to go back to Germany, Austria and so many other beautiful nations. Europe is the heart of Western Civilization and I don't want to lose it. We need to defend it. The open borders hacks are ready to give it all away and for what?

G.K Chesterson said that a man that doesn't believe in God, will believe in anything. We see that in America where people that are genetically males think they can decide they want to be females and their greatest goal in life is to declare to the world that they are women and use a woman's bathroom. So much for aiming high in life when setting your goals.

Is that really a Chesterton quote? In his The Open Society and Its Enemies, Karl Popper wrote: "When people cease to believe in God, they do not believe in nothing; on the contrary, they believe in anything." Whoever said it first, they are both absolutely spot-on.

Danvil If there is a sense of unreality in Europe, then the dream time in America is even more salient reaching a degree even Europe cannot reach. Like one of the best if not the best humorist in America said at the time he was alive, you have to be dreaming to believe in the American dream. What is real is hidden behind what appears which is usually an artificial construct presented to us by the scoundrels in power. This is the rule rather than the exception to have a fabricated political construct full of nonsense. Find one country which escape such nonsense, none so far. Humans, hum, what to expect to be any better than what is in existence short of a miracle erasing in one stroke all the idiocy produced in abondance by all of us. Can we do better? Certainly, but only if there is a will from the majority to do so and so far few can make a difference between a fork and a knife in politics, so let’s not hold our breath for a not so far change from unreality to reality which a Marxist analysis suggest as a priority in our way of thinking. Will see.

Wow, I'm from Middlesbrough, didn't expect to get a mention. I listen to intellects like TD, to better understand our society and it's woes, he's spot on about my town. It's depressing how many people have zero aspirations and simply demand welfare. It's painful and I've seen our culture erode before my very eyes. I would love to know why TD was in my town - I would love to meet him.

I’m from Boro too, and I often wonder what the purpose of Middlesbrough is anymore? The coal, iron, steel and chemical industries seem long gone and it now seems to be just a compound of government funded NHS/education/immigration programmes.

The biggest difference you see between Wallonia and Flemish Belgium is the amount of rubbish in the streets. Wallonia looks like a Chav council estate while the Flemish part looks like a place where you may like to live!!

21:32 "the wonderful time the Greek and Irish had at their expense [the German]". Ireland is ranked (as of 2020) 6th in the world in the index on economic freedom by the heritage foundation. In 2006 Ireland was ranked 3rd in the world. Germany is ranked 27th in economic freedom as of 2020. Greece, the birthplace of western civilisation, had to endure the worst slump since the Great Depression. Greeks in 2012 worked longer hours than anyone else in Europe - 42.2 per week, compared to just 35.6 in Germany. Ireland had (and continues to have) a higher level of productivity per worker compared to German workers. source [www.theguardian.com/news/datablog/2011/dec/08/europe-working-hours#data] In terms of the size of the government and its role in the economy, the government spending to GDP in Germany is 45%. That ratio is around 25% in Ireland. data.oecd.org/gga/general-government-spending.htm Ireland is the birthplace of Edmund Burke, Oscar Wilde, CS Lewis, Robert Boyle, and Lord Kelvin. Greece is the birthplace of Plato, Socrates, Aristotle, Herodotus and Archimedes.

did you notice that financial stimulus obtained by state loans are always used up to infrastructure that will not help the trade balance and that business also in debt invests in easy profit like speculative real state , the real productive investment was made in factories in china, London depends on financial services, were hedge funds and other derivatives create absurd profits by shorting companies we look rich and prosperous but our industry opening are in waiters and chefs

They are not the same predictions. Europe is being Africanized and will at some point just become a province of North Africa. Africa, on the other hand, is being Chinafied, and will eventually be just another province of China, rather like the Uighurs, I would suppose.

It has more to do with turning our backs on western civilization, than the immigration crisis. The damage was done before massive immigration. We have made our minds up to ditch our beliefs and values which has eventually left us devoid of any resources to get on. We have done away with our scaffolding which has been replaced by a vacuum.
