The Rootie Kazootie Club 1953 ABC

I've been lucky to get my 16mm & 35mm celluloid film collection acquired by Indiana Universities Film restoration program, and first up is bringing my boomer fan base The Rootie Kazootie Club show.
Barry I. Grauman notes: This is a 1953 episode, as ABC scheduled Rootie on weekday afternoons at 5:45pm(et)- mostly on the East Coast- under the sponsorship of Gordon Baking Company {Silvercup bread}. Dennis James' "CHANCE OF A LIFETIME", mentioned at 14:25, was seen on Thursdays at 8:30pm(et) from May 1952 through August 1953.

At the same time, Rootie was also seen on Saturday mornings for Johnson Candy's Powerhouse and Bishop's Nut Fudge bars.

14:03 - I hope that's the same Cosmo "Gus" Allegretti who went on to be a puppeteer (Mr. Moose, Bunny Rabbit, Dancing Bear, Grandfather Clock) and on-camera bit player (Dennis the Apprentice) on "Captain Kangaroo". 14:25 - "Chance of a Lifetime", the talent show that Dennis James hosted, was on ABC in 1952-53 and '55-56, while "Rootie Kazootie" was on ABC from 1952-54, so I highly doubt that "Rootie" was on ABC in 1957, according to the title.

Barry I. Graumann: Mr. TV Trivia, thank you for the answers to the 3 questions above. I sort of thought that, if this really were 57, this would have been more of a local, Channel 7 program (Silvercup was a largely New York brand). Obviously, by 53, the show had moved from NBC--where, in its first year, it filled up Radio City on a multi-hour Thanksgiving morning special--to ABC.
