The Root Of Rebellion // Holy Rebellion: The Kingdom Is Here (Part 2) // Charles Metcalf

In Week 2 of the Holy Rebellion Series, we delve into the essence of the Root of Rebellion. While the previous week ignited our drive to embrace our created purpose, the current week compels us to pause and introspect, posing a critical question: What is the root of our rebellion? This message equips us with insight on how to confront bitterness, through allowing Holy Spirit to highlight our own personal roots. As we navigate through our personal journey of Holy Rebellion, may this message empower us to refuse bitterness and choose to be a blessing.

Even as I constantly struggle to pay my rent. And I constantly struggle to provide groceries for my children! I trust you Lord! I’m choosing to keep faith. Walking with faith is the most important thing us christian’s must do. That’s why love compassion and prayers are all we truly need. Please keep me in your prayers. As Christians it’s vital to trust God no matter what we are facing. I want to give up so bad! But God won’t allow me because he is our only strength in this world. As a single mom, things are tough on me. My husband passed years ago. I feel so alone. Both of my sons are autistic and non verbal. I’m constantly struggling to provide for my boys. I’m overwhelmed and so ashamed. Father God hear my prayers. My faith in you is strong! Even though I’m constantly in fear of losing my home. I have faith a miracle is on the way! Faith over fear!

I don’t know how the gift of storytelling will make a good living, but I absolutely love that gift! I’ll either make an adult animation tv show for those who need it most, write novels, or both. I just hope that this gift flourishes. UBC seems like a good fit. ❤

PC thank you so much 🥺🥺. There is so much bitterness in my heart towards certain people and I was praying to God About it with my family and I started watching your sermon before I resumed school yesterday. It helped me to not be hostile towards my coursemates that hurt me and I kept repeating to myself that I am not a bitter person. Every time you talk about gossiping you talk to me, I know it comes from a place of hurt but it's wrong, so I'm praying for the assistance of the holy spirit to overcome the spirit of gossip Thank you This is true Rebellion

My sermon notes for "The root of a rebellion// Holy rebellion, the Kingdom is here" week 2: 1.) Remind your mind and emotions that they are not in charge 2.) there are people in your life that are waiting on you that needs to know that someone cares about them. Go out, be the church and make a difference, there is no greater testimony that is going to happen if you would live bold, understanding that God has put you there on purpose for a reason. 3.) Just because something is no speculator does not mean it's not supernatural 4.) Every rebellion has roots, the root of your rebellion always determines the fruit of your rebellion. If you don't understand why you are doing, what you are doing will never matter 4.) The root of bitterness, refuse to be bitter. You have to address the root of bitterness because it is after your joy 5.) It's hard to be bitter and be a blessing How to deal with bitterness? 1.) Acknowledge the pain. There is stuff that has happened in your life and the fact that you are ignoring it does not mean it will go away 2.) Address the pain. How did the offense made you feel? Where did you stop letting certain people in your life who reminded you of those people just so that you can have a protection mechanism? 3.) Ask for strength. If you could have forgiven those people who hurt you, you would have done it already 6.) Wake up and make the decision to refuse to be bitter and choose to be a blessing Scripture reference: Romans 1:16 Hebrews 12:14-17 Philippians 2:12-16

Yes, sometimes we dismiss the supernatural things that God does the in our life because it wasn’t spectacular. In the book I recently published there were seven moments that were very powerful and supernatural, but may not be spectacular in a sense that I didn’t necessarily see some thing in the spiritual realm like a big angel or anything like that but the seven moments that I shared were powerful and supernatural. Thank you for that word CHARLES!!

That’s not what he’s preaching. He’s teaching to rebel against the norm of giving into your pain and doing what everybody else is doing. That is a sense of rebellion because it’s not normal to the world. Christians rebel against what the world wants us to do because we serve a holy God. God bless.

Ask yourself these question... Is anything he taught part of preaching the Word of God from scripture? Is his message meant to exhalt God or himself? Does this kind of teaching differ from the content that pop psychologist teach? You'll know if God convicts your sinful heart when you read these questions. This is not a sermon, it's talk given by some guy that is giving life advice and tying to the name of Jesus.
