My friend was a huge 60’s garage collector and I recall the day he purchased this 45 from a seller in Goldmine in 1979. I was there when it arrived and he played it for me as I had never heard it. Loved it ever since.

Every single inch of groove on this single is perfect. Moments of magic happen every now and then in a studio and this is one fine example.

In the 1960s, seventies and eighties, my parents were sold on Oldsmobile and we had a 1965 Jetstar 88, a 1970 Delta 88, a 1976 Cutlass Supreme and a 1986 Cutlass Supreme Brougham. Taking a man's Oldsmobile is a sin! ;-)

I had a 1969 Olds 98 in 1978-79. What a ride. It survived the Chicago Blizzard of 1979!!! Plenty of great memories in the 69 "98"

I had a 1959 Olds Super 88 when I was a kid. It was a thrill in many ways.

This is one of the most funky songs I've ever heard! The tune is so catchy, it ranks up there with "Mystery Train" and "Niki Hoeky!"

My first car was a 1989 Oldsmobile 88 that I bought for $250 cash in 2010 when I was a senior in high school. Whenever I'd try to buy parts, I got so sick of the guy behind the counter asking "so is it an 89 or an 88?" But she ran so great. And was built like a tank. My buddies always called her the Love Machine hahaha Anyways, great lick. This song kicks.

I love this tune, but another song by them, "Love's the Thing," is ever greater!

L8tr same problem in My 49 GMC & was Just a Buckled up oil Pan Into the Crankshaft. darn. ................. It was melted into Soup cans over 40 yrs ago. Believe it or not, Olds put out some decent cars before the 70s ... Rocket 88, original Toronado and of course the 442. Can't say much for anything they build after that
