In context, U2 have released 14 albums (46 years), Aerosmith 15 albums (52 years) … but their career has been twice as long. 20 years with 8 albums, and 2 great songs on each album is exceptional. With over 100 million albums sold worldwide, Coldplay are the most successful band of the 21st century and one of the best-selling music acts of all time.

Just 2 great songs on each album? I'd say WAY more than 2. Chris Martin barely knows how to write an un-incredible song!

I adore Chris. In so many ways the Interviewer tries to put him & the band into this reality and to create the pressure of:"If everyone are like that, so you guys should be." ... which is creating wrongness, when there is no right or wrong, just difference...I love how Chris is talking from his heart, without bariers, just kindness and listening his knowing, total oneness & so much to learn.... that's why you guys are beyond everything. So much love & gratitude for you choosing to go beyond what you should be and tapping into your uniqueness. 💜 Blessings 🙏 btw. it is beautiful to hear Chris being vulnerable.

Chris Martin always gives the impression to be very thoughtful, generous and open. I admire him for being so kind, especially in the times we have right now. I think that the people who are able to show this level of kindness and humility are often the ones who have so much talent and did put so much in their achievements that they do not have to prove anything to anyone. That he also lets us see some of his vulnerability is also very endearing and makes him very likable and relatable. I have lost two very dear and special people and feel that my grief made me even more open to other people who have come through any other crisis. I feel maybe his sensibility and warmth (in German it is "warmheartedness") and the events that happened to him through his life made him so very empathetic.

Seriously! This interviewer was so awkward. It seemed like he wasn’t used to interviewing someone as genuinely sincere as Chris is, and it’s like he didn’t know how to take it. Chris is usually able to get a chuckle out of interviewers too and create a very relaxed atmosphere but this interviewer just could not get in sync. Looking at his notepad a lot, etc. Chris came across as the professional, this interviewer seemed like he couldn’t keep up. Questions sort of all over the place too. Gotta love Chris.

Never knew I had a similar experience as Chris. In my youth as a young woman other classmates kept believing in a bullying fashion that I was a lesbian simply because in High School my Father was trying to be cheap and forced my sibling and I into yardwork labor prior to school. We rarely had to opportunity to change our clothes before school. We often wore big, masculine shirts with sleeves for the job and other students kept shouting at me that I must be gay. I was taught not to say anything when folks jeer so I didn't... and the chants caused me to fall into a deep depression. Never had any interest in other females, I knew in my heart of hearts I wasn't gay. It was only until I went to university, and dressed more feminine, I felt sorta like myself. I rekindled my friendship with a boy pal from Highschool then we got married years later. I'm still shaken from the taunting I recieved.... I can't imagine how it feels to be truly in the queer community though I hope it's better for individuals now. It's awesome Chris embraced that... Coldplay used to be bullied with films like "40 year old Virgin" saying to the audience, 'you're gay if you like Coldplay' and now with their 9th album they wrote, "People of the Pride". It's a pretty clever way to improve on past hurts in my opinion. To use mockery now to empower the people in that group. Great interview, I had no idea Chris and I had that connection of being accused of being attracted to the same sex when in actuality that wasn't the case.

24:05. You are correct Chris. God is everything and everything is God because God created everything. John 1: 3kjv "All things were made by him and without him was not anything made that was made". Ps. 82:6. "Ye are gods. And all of you children of the most high" There's so much in the bible to tell us that God is in everything, everyone and everywhere. Religion most times complicates the simplicity of this understanding but when you get the revelation, like Chris does, it's liberating. And the revelation doesn't always come from within a church building. God speaks with anything and everything. Living and non-living. So yes, Chris, you are correct.

Probably because he's the founder and owner of Rolling Stones. Interviewing is not his role. Not sure why he didn't get his staff to cover it, unless it's because Chris wanted him.

One of these people is a hugely respected writer and performer, with multiple credits to his name; the other is a journalist. I don’t think that Chris needs any defence; I suspect that he doesn’t either…

The thing about gay thing part - Chris is a Pisces and naturally Pisces has a feminine energy inside them so for the man, it can be weird to find masculine energy within themselves, specially in this world how man is perceived by others and how "should" act in certain situations. If any Pisces man understand own energy and accept as it is, will never sabotage himself regardless of who is around. Acceptance of your own energy is the key and Pisces are caring kindness beings - just accept it!

Eight albums in 20 years is reasonably productive. At first, I didn’t like this interviewer, but he got Chris talking about some interesting stuff.

@@jfshep94 And he didn't really listen. It's like his extensive knowledge about the music industry has formed a crust around him, precluding him from hearing what Chris is bringing. Chris is too big for this interview.

15:47. C "That's what I was told to do" "By who?" It's God speaking to you through his Spirit Chris. It's the Spirit of God inside of man, directing man. 1 Corinthians 2:10. "God had revealed them to us by his Spirit....Vs 14. The natural man receiveth not these things cause they are foolishness to him..." So putting out a double album when everyone is putting out singles might seem foolish but your choice to do as you were instructed by the Spirit is how you walk in the Spirit as directed by God. The bible and living by the Spirit of God is really more practical that religion would have us believe but honestly, the word of God is true and the Spirit of God is life.
