I live in Indonesia where still using patriarchy as a common system. When it comes to rules, my parents believe it's "my way or the highway." They don't take their child's feelings into consideration. And i feel like when i grow up, I have super low self-esteem. It really takes time to fix everything 🥲. So please for parents out there, your parenting style can affect everything from your child's self-esteem to their academic success. It's important to ensure your parenting style supports healthy growth and development because the way you interact with your child and how you discipline them will influence them for the rest of their life.
