🤷🏾‍♀️Not all of them have African roots. Many of them are straight-up Spaniard or mestizo. I had a Puerto Rican roommate who is racially white and spoke Castillan Spanish. I made the mistake of thinking she had roots and understood certain things. Plus, most Cuban immigrants who left due to the revolution typically align with whiteness.
