Something big is going to happen in music soon. Nothing really great is going on right now. Some good stuff, but nothing great. One of these A&R guys is going to take a big chance on something and it's going to be very big.

@@user-iy4xx8kv1h Maybe just one artist. Maybe a new style of music. I don't know. But overall, the music scene is stagnant right now. Something great is bound to happen soon. We haven't seen a band or artist as great as The Beatles, the Stones, or Elvis in a very long time. Nor have we seen a movement as revolutionary as rock-n-roll, or a new style like new wave, rockabilly, or grunge. Surely something will happen soon.

@@OfficialFCMusic I'm just making a prediction. I hope I'm right. The music these days I'm sure is selling well. But it seems to me, there's nothing timeless going on. I understand that just about everything in music history was a trend, and that's why I'm careful not to jump on the Luke Bryan bashing bandwagon. But when you think about the Beatles or Elvis- we haven't had any of those in a long time. And there really isn't even any transformational trends like grunge or new wave happening. The industry is ripe for something big.

@@OfficialFCMusic Obviously internet radio has changed everything. Before that, we were by-and-large only exposed to whatever FM radio was playing. We get to pick from whatever we want these days. For me personally, just about everything I listen to is from the 40's to the 80's. The new stuff just isn't iconic. But who knows what's on the way. Maybe something great.

One example of a not so great voice that was somehow captivating is Kurt Cobain.
