The reality is it wouldn't be much of a fight. Just by size, strength and conditioning alone The Rock would destroy vin, let alone all his years playing around in the ring( yes I know wrestling is scripted) would lend it's self to a higher level of fitness and mobility.

If you look back on the first film, Dom told Brain that he was so angry after his father died he almost killed someone with a wrench. That is why he went to jail the first time, if you look closely he is holding a wrench again but this time does not attack Hobbs. Little detail with huge symbolism for his character development.

@@glinkrecords Except it's Vin Diesel's franchise, and The Rock is just a guest in it, lol. Especially with 5 being the first time The Rock appears in the franchise, they weren't going to let his character beat Dom. They'd be even, at best, or with Dom having a slight edge (look how this fight ended -- Dom could have killed Hobbs with the wrench if he didn't hold back. Like it or not, that's how they wrote it.) He has become popular enough in the franchise to get his own spin-off movies so they don't have to compete over whose character is "tougher" anymore though, lol. I heard one of the reasons they spun The Rock off into his own side movies was because Vin and Rock's egos were battling too much over having the toughest/strongest character.

I love it how Dom and Hobbs were fighting earlier then all of a sudden Dom and his team start helping Hobbs

Vince was truly Dom's friend and it showed in this scene. When he was on the ground fighting Hobbs, Brian and Mia was scared and begging for Dom to stop fighting. Vince was screaming "come on", when it looked like Hobbs had the upper hand on the ground for a slight sec. Vince never doubted for a sec that Dom couldn't take Hobbs, that's real brotherhood.

If you look closely in the fight, hobbs was wrecking vin, but when vin saw her Sister the power of family aka "plot armor" activated, but if it wasnt for that, hobbs would've ended him

I miss this Hobbs. Honestly surprised that the beef between the rock and Jason wasn't the rock and vin throughout the movies after this.

I dont think a man has ever been as shiny as the rock was this entire movie. He left sweat puddles everytime he stood still like a car leaking oil.

Good times...when Hobbs with the badass beard and no laughing...

Funny, because irl, Dwayne could likely put Vin Diesel down with a single open hand slap.

When Mia yelled "Dom" for the last time, such goosebumps that he was able to stop at her voice...

Realistically, a lot of these punches etc should have been knock outs but this is a movie.

The goons had the higher ground which gave them an advantage. Also, they had a rocket launcher, which is what threw that trained military off at the beginning of the scene and later put Hobbs down.

These two had amazing chemistry in this movie. Its a shame that it led to real life animosity off the screen. Its weird to know that the Rock only agreed to be in Fate of the furious if he didn't have any scenes with Vin diesel.

Cause (according to Google, LOL), he's apparently 5'11" while Dwayne is apparently 6'5", yet in this scene, they look only 2 inches apart. I'm pretty sure there's a SIGNIFICANT visual difference between 5'11" and 6'5", like, a whole 6 inch difference, yet it doesn't show there. Weird.

Oh yeah in the next fast furious film they gotta bring some or a lot of new characters and also some new actors like Micheal Jai White,Van Damme, Steve Austin, Donnie Yen, Steven Seagal, Terry Crews, Jet LI, Scott Adkins, Triple H, Tony JAA, And also Ms Vivica or V Fox aka Vivica A Fox, Charlemagne the God,Ms L and Ms CW in fast furious 10 part 1 and part 2 why because I want a double all star cast in my mind that my opinion the next two years also.
