I am same ,i play blues ,but nothing like him .I would be there listening as long as he played .

Been feeling depressed recently. No job, No money. Hardly picked my guitar up in over a month. It's starting to think I don't love it anymore ! I shouldn't complain, there's lots worse off than me. Reading the comments here about my playing has really helped me. Thank you to everyone who has bothered to make such kind comments. Now where's my plectrum ? Stay safe out there. Mark Allen.

Keep your guitar close Mark, mine has always been a source of comfort, even if its just playing Blues very badly... in the end a good guitar is more reliable than any number of bad people, who come and go... Never trade, sell or neglect your guitar. I made that mistake & I won't again. Compared to me, you are a far better player. You should be proud, not everyone is as skilled as you.

I met this wonderful man years ago when i lived in swansea and he just blew me away, he gave me a lot of encouragement as i was honing my craft as a guitarist. So thankyou Mark for everything.

I hadn't picked up my guitars for ages until I watched this guy on here the other night and I was straight into the kitchen, plugged that bad boy in and rocked the **** out. He's a special talent that's for sure, the way he feels the song and gets it across.

This is just a masterpiece. As far as I heard, Chris Rea retired a while ago and we won't be seeing any new releases anymore but songs like this or "Texas" really showed how amazing his songs are. However, it's also funny that his songs are always played on the radio whenever there's something stressful going on. For example, my workplace got hit with a cyber attack and when I was responding and trying to limit the amount of damage, The Road To Hell was playing form my co-worker's internet radio player. Then, 7 weeks ago I was stuck in traffic because the highway was flooded and many people (including me) had regular European cars which could hydrolock if water would go into the air intake. So, when I was building a snorkel with plastic bottles, vacuum cleaner hose and self seal plastic rubber tape, this song started playing in the radio. This really made me smile because the radio station couldn't find a better moment to play that song than the moment where I was modifying my car XD

I looked up the definition of feeling and it said look up Mark Allen! 4th video and I’m blown away! Mark you are an absolute gem!

This guy plays good and has about worn the fretboard off that old Strat. What gets me is the bystanders, or lack thereof. When I was a kid forty years ago, there would have been a crowd around that guy in that setting.

People have become hardened materialists with tin ears. The evolution of technology has people of the mindset that believes you can simply press a button and instantly order up life itself.They wouldn't know greatness , unless it arrived in an Amazon wrapper, and the artist photo'd in cheesy glitz

This track is truly sublime. Mark squeezes out so much passion in those bends and licks. Even though this epic track was largely ignored by passers-by (or so it appears) Mark’s smile at the little girl giving a tip, and again at the end of the clip, suggests that playing live gives ‘him’ real pleasure. It certainly does to listeners on this channel.

Wonderfully done Mark! You make that beautiful Fender really talk! I was a bassist for many years and ended up playing jazz but I love blues as well and any bluesy rock too. I've seen so many people with no talent and had loads of people stopping to watch them. This guy is way better than many rock artists and nobody stops. Amazing. I am feeling to go to Cardiff just to listen to him.
