Thats really awesome to hear. To be fair this movie reminds me of the love I had for travelling and seeing new places as a kid and I hope to do more in the future. Glad you had that kind of lively spirit still later on in life and did amazing stuff like that.

@@UmQasaann The spaniards were oppressors, no doubt about it at all. But so were the Aztecs, and a bunch of rebelling tributary states were counting on Cortez to help them overthrow the Aztecs. Meaning that if Cortez and his indigenous allies got as far as the Aztec capital before being defeated, the shitshow to follow would have been ugly, Better if Cortez and his mob were speared straight after getting off their ships, so none of the poor oppressed tribes could be implicated in the invasion. Too bad, then, that it was the poor and oppressed tribes that Cortez first met!

No matter how bad critics rate it, its still one of my favourites, right up there with Atlantis: The Lost Empire.

I think the critics looked at it as what came before it, you follow up films like those to those of 90's Disney, these were filled with less child humor, that's why they were ranked badly

Yeah it was really disappointing when I heard the Spotify version and it lacked them

The chills, the nostalgia.. This never gets old! And has gotten yet another meaning to me now that I've become familiar with the Uncharted games and learned to love them. This song and especially the first game go hand in hand if you think about it that way.

Snuse Mcgoose everything. It’s slower, the instruments are all studio brit-pop-mixed versions of the compositions of the movie and it doesn’t capture the fun adventure feel of any song besides *MAYBE* Without Question. Also none of these official movie versions are streamable.

They came out around the same time and in fact emperors new groove was going to have a completely different plot and story but Road to el dorado beat it to the punch and they had to scrap the entire first idea of the movie and landed on the llama idea

There were a lot of good songs from my childhood, but none ever impacted me like the ones from The Road to El Dorado. Just the sheer scale that this song in particular brings is beyond words, when listening to this you can feel like you're on a grand journey.

First saw this movie in a thrift shop as a kid. It was just playing on one of those old gigantic and fat TVs. While our mom was shopping, we just kind of gravitated to it cuz of the music, and I remember we quite literally begged our mom to let us stay for just 10 more minutes so we could finish it. We had seen nearly all of the movie and we weren’t about to leave at the last moment. Well, one angry mother later, we left incredibly pouty as we weren’t allowed to finish it. Then it suddenly showed up at my grandmothers place a year later, where all sorts of magically random things show up and I had incredible amounts of nostalgia and excitement rush over me. Still one of my absolute favorites to this day.

So energetic, happy and great! Love Elton John, love this movie!

My new puppy was exploring the property and I could not help but play this while he ran around.

This is definitely one of my favorite movies of all time. When I was younger, I watched it so many times, I memorized all the lines! And the songs are wonderful. Elton John is brilliant!

my favorite movies as a kid in order from first to last; Treasure Planet, Sinbad, Eldorado, Atlantis: the lost empire, Tarzan. I'm 16 now and I still watch these movies on a regular basis.

Run through Wildstar as an explorer. It's even more legendary.

Shrek, El Dorado, Madagascar, Spirit, Shark Tale, Prince Of Egypt, Antz, Sinbad: LOTSS, etc. Dreamworks was *REALLY* in their prime in the late 90’s and early 2000’s.

This song is perfect when traveling the world.

I love this song. It makes me think of going to Mexico.

This is my favorite animated movie of all time. Loved it from first viewing as a kid

Always always makes me smile

This movie deserves more credit than it should. The colors and effects are so aesthetically pleasing even twenty-two years later! Another pro is that the story is great; I really love the fact that DreamWorks decided to take something so sullen and depressing and put their own little spin on it. I actually really enjoyed the voice acting; Kenneth Branagh and Kevin Kline had such comedic chemistry, and I really think they did a good job casting this movie. Also, who doesn't love a good DreamWorks movie?

This is song I played at least once a day during the cross country road trip I did with my brother last summer lol.

soon i want to bring my tablet and play this while I'm driving my sled dogs. it seems like it will pair well with the rhythm of their sleek, powerful bodies plunging through the snow, the pounding of their feet, and the musical jingling of the clasps as they streak through the winding trails.

This and Treasure Planet were on repeat 24/7 as a kid.

its a shame how nerfed the OST versions of all the songs are, what was the point in going all out for the movie if you were gonna just water it down for the album release?

El Dorado is a great...big... ROCK!!!

No matter all the plot holes and problems pointed out, this is unquestionably my favourite movie. Ever.

best movie of my childhood by a country mile!! such good lessons taught in this film too! the playful youthful energy is so nostalgic

I’m 16. I used to watch this movie all the time when I was younger. I was so obsessed with historical animated movies like this.

Dreamworks made some golden movies back in the day. I’ll never forget El dorado & prince of Egypt

I remember watching this movie when i was child and now i'm 23 and i still watch it and it gives me the same feeling when i used to watch it in my childhood. This movie is just amazing. I love that movie. And the songs are so good that you can't get tired off them. This song is my favorite. I love The Road to El Dorado. Such a great movie, a great plot, great songs. Such an amazing movie. We miss movies like these.
