The village of Bulnes in the Picos de Europa has been designated as one of the most beautiful by the association of Los Pueblos Más Bonitos de España.
It sits in the heart of the Picos de Europa mountain range in the Cantabrian Mountains of northern Spain.
The village is up in the mountains and is not accessible by car. The only way there is either by foot or by Funicular train. One of the options is free to visit, the other is going to cost you a bit pf money.
Once at the top, there are several cafes and restaurants for those who don't want to pack a lunch and there are some beautiful spots along the river for those who want to have a picnic.
