One of the few choirs where all the parts are audible and one part doesn’t overpower another

Absolutely true, I live in eastern S. Dakota and several of the best college choirs in the nation are within easy driving distance of where I live. the Nordic Choir may be the best because they blend like you say, perfectly, and their phrasing is flawless.
honestly the solo made me want to tear up, that was absolutely gorgeous
Lovely choral singing, and the soloist's voice is refreshing.
Beautiful soloist blended harmoniously with a magnificent choir. Thank you for the ministry of music 🎶
When I heard this and then took time to look up the whole text, I thought of Denzel Washington's character in "The Book Of Eli," don't ask me why. For all the violence and unhappiness in that movie, what I really remember is the man with the calling and his determination to find the Road Home for him. Stephen Paulus was a great composer and this is just a wonderful performance.
This was beautiful. Gave me chills.
Every time I hear this piece and sing it I love it more
Wow ❤❤❤

It’s almost impossible for me not to listen to this without crying.
This is the best performance of this work.
Keeping up the tradition of first rate choral singing. Well done.

That's wonderful! My son who is a choral teacher, calls all choir alumni to the stage to sing this at every spring concert.❤️

We are singing this at my high school next week. (I’m a senior, and I am going to try out for the solo as well.) If I get the solo, I will let you know.

Update: I completely forgot I made this comment!!! But I did not get the solo, someone else got it. And she did really good! And yes, I did graduate high school this year, and am doing well in life. I chose not to go to college, but I am looking out for a job.
Beautiful...especially the soloist. d
What a perfecand beautiful blend of voices in this piece. Add to the blend the way it was presented with heart and feeling. Simply beautiful.

I sincerely hope that this conductor found a good job.

What's this supposed to mean? You're saying the conductor did a great job with this choir and ought to have a better job than this one? Luther has a top-flight vocal music program. That fact is plainly evident in this phenomenal performance, the quality of which is what led to your bizarrely backhanded and contradictory comment.

He already has a great job at Yale! This last year, they had different temp replacements while they were looking for a new conductor. That's all.

Did Dr Hightower leave Luther College and go to University of North Texas a year ago?

Yes, and their new conductor is a Luther alum who sang in this selfsame choir.
Running out of superlatives here. I warn you -- like a Cuban cigar, the rest not match it.
