Hi there Pastor Rodney. Here in Cape Town we don't call it running but "Koordans / Juig" which if directly translated is "Choir dancing". Our history tells that when the indigenous Khoisan people converted to Pentecostal Christianity they brought with them the "trance dance" to church which was the way they connected to their former deities.
