The Ritz-Carlton, Guangzhou, China (The Gold Standard of Hospitality)

Years of staying in hotels have given me a broad view of the hospitality sector. I prioritize unforgettable experiences over expense, opulence, and service. Sometimes the simplest accommodations provide this. For the best hospitality, The Ritz-Carlton is unmatched.
In Guangzhou's bustling central business hub, Zhujiang New Town, the Ritz-Carlton sets the benchmark. Luxury brands, plazas, malls, commercial centers, and world-class entertainment are easily accessible from this prominent location, making it the top choice for leisure and business tourists seeking Guangzhou's dynamic culture.
This 2008-built, remodeled 351-room hotel exudes elegance and attention. The vast spa, well-maintained workout center, Roman-themed outdoor pool, and numerous dining selections are all built for perfection. For those unconcerned with cost, the shop offers elegant but costly outfits.
The Ritz-Carlton has unmatched amenities, from abundant bottled water to "Japanese" electric toilets, rare in China. The careful cleaning, high-end toiletries, soft robes, and wood-scented heavy hangers create an unsurpassed aura of relaxation and elegance. The hotel's "if it's not seen, just ask" policy meets every guest requirement, graciously.
The Ritz-Carlton's decor blends heritage and contemporary, appealing to both return and new luxury tourists. Classic styling and modern amenities discreetly incorporated into the exquisite environment provide a timeless and contemporary setting.
Service at The Ritz-Carlton deserves a "11." Staff selection and treatment reflect a profound commitment to excellence, creating a cycle of service that benefits guests and employees. Every contact is aimed to exceed expectations, from earnest queries regarding one's stay to personalized touches and attentive help.
I didn't eat at The Ritz-Carlton, but its Michelin-starred restaurants speak for themselves. The meticulous housekeeping and engineering personnel keep the atmosphere clean, vital during pandemics and beyond.
The Ritz-Carlton Guangzhou offers unmatched comfort and luxury. The attention to detail, from the classic yet modern décor to the excellent service and perfect cleanliness, makes for an unforgettable stay. This hotel defines premium hospitality and inspires others.

@@WalkaboutRojo honnestly i enjoy the most your reviews of the hotels. 3 years ago i was in hong kong hotel with my girlfriend and paid 100$ for nothing. Choosing the right hotel can change your life sometimes in right or bad direction

China is large. In Guangzhou, right now you can stay at the nicest hotels for around $200 or less. You can stay at clean, but budget friendly hotels for as little as $30.

Love your reviews. The Ritz Carlton hotels are old fashioned to me. Not crazy about all the mouldimg. I live in California and everything here is pretty traditional. I personally find it unfortunate that back in the 50s the United States was at the forefront of international design with mid-century modern but since the 80s we have regressed into copying old European architecture and design. When I go to Europe, I see that they incorporate modern designs into old buildings; but we copy all designs into new buildings. Just my 2 cents.

We have enjoyed the Ritz Carlton at Phulaybay Thailand and Koh Samui but the Ritz-Carlton at Sanya on Hainan Island had awful pool service and we speak English and no one with Room Service understood English. The Club level restaurant which we had paid for the room to get the club restaurant did not serve breakfast and the other restaurant for breakfast was over crowded and poorly air conditioned. Over all a poor experience and we will never go back again to Hainan.

I'm sorry you had such a bad experience there. Thank you for sharing. Don't let one property put down the entire brand (all brands have their good and bad performers.)

Walkabout Rojo we love Ritz Carlton but this location was not the Ritz-Carlton standard. Beautiful Hotel but employees were poorly trained and the place needs some updating.. Just badly managed. We made an appointment with the manager to meet him and air our complaints and he said he would meet us but never showed up. They need to bring in someone who has international experience in running 5 star Hotels. The one in Sanya is not on that level. Sad because it has a lot of potential.

I like the videos but man I could never visit china. I just have no Idea when they would scope my comments out on social media and punish me to make an example of a foreigner. And before anyone tries to downplay this is really depends who you are and how much the court system favors you. It doesn't happen until it does.

If it was too bad, i doubt they would give you a visa. Otherwise, i feel it would be alright.
