The Rise of Naruto - Resolution in Naruto

Фильм және анимация

Naruto may be the focal character this theme of resolution is tied to, but in the background, Sasuke has begun to unveil his own form of resolution. These two paths will intersect and clash in the battlefield. Tune in next time to find out how their ideologies shape the other important characters in the war arc.

    You are one of the few YTbers who totally changed my persepective and understanding of the Naruto. Really brilliant work man :DD After all these NAruto vids, I would say this is one of the most human stories that had come out in like last 20 years. It really tries to explore all of the things that are happening here in our world on daily basis. And is trying to teach us the most important human attribute "understanding". THE THING THAT MAKES HUMAN A HUMAN.

    I never thought about the Team 7 reunion at the bridge as anything much. But you made a great point of how divided they were at that point, no one was on the same page. It wasn’t until Fighting Kaguya there they became team again, as it was all of them together that defeated her.

    I find it really interesting how people view Naruto in comparison to how you explain it. From what I can see people view Naruto and it's struggles as if it was just Dragon Ball. So many people immediately say "IF NARUTO WAS ABOUT HARD WORK VS GIFTS IT'D BE ABOUT LEE," Like you said in the Grape video. Or treat Naruto's pain not as something to overcome but something that festered and grow. Maybe out of a lack of reflection, but you really just changed how I viewed the show. Not just as one friend trying to save the other, about how easily once path can change, or about how the world persrives our work.

    16:40 “If Itachi had put his Genjutsu on Sasuke, he would be no different from Madara”. This is very symbolic as Itachi’s well known speech is “What’s Reality?” while Madara’s is “Wake up to Reality”. Itachi’s philosophy completes Madara’s because if Reality is all in your head according to Itachi, why not choose an easier reality with Madara’s philosophy. Itachi before Edo Tensei would have agreed with Madara unless he’s a hypocrite.

    Great analysis. I still think that the series could've wrapped things up after the Pain arc, in which Naruto and Sasuke resolve their conflicts with each other, but I understand what you're saying. You'll be covering the war arc next, so maybe you'll bring some perspective to me. I did a little research just now and found out the war took place over 2 days, which is insane to me. The anime made it seem like it took much longer than that. That's probably where a lot of my dislike for the arc comes from.

  • @Saul_Goodman555

    @Saul_Goodman555

    2 жыл бұрын

    Bruh this comment makes absolutely no sense. How can you wrap things after the Pain arc when Kishimoto has foreshadowed things like the Obito reveal and therefore Madara's revival? The War arc was a good idea, but it just could've been better. Doesn't mean that it should never have happened.

  • @Slavolko

    @Slavolko

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@Saul_Goodman555 Because Obito and Madara should've both remained dead. No reason to revive dead characters just to push the plot a certain way. Kishimoto had a world of choices to take the rest of the series in, rather than just a drawn-out war with Dragonball-levels of destruction.

  • @Saul_Goodman555

    @Saul_Goodman555

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@Slavolko You're kidding. Sorry but that's just illogical. Obito was foreshadowed by the end of OG Naruto, and was never meant to be dead in the 1st place, so it isn't really reviving dead characters. U can't say he should've not made that decision to reintroduce Obito wayyy back in the 1st of arc of Shippuden. Narratively, there is absolutely NOTHING wrong with that. There is also no reason for the plot to take the direction you wanted it to. As you said, Kishimoto had a lot of choices and he decided to make this one, which is one of the best choices he's made. In fact, these two characters are the only upsides of the War arc and are top tier characters. It's not hard to figure out that the War arc could have been the perfect arc even with these characters still in it. Poweracaling could have been better with these characters still playing a role. Taking away some of the best written characters in the show as a solution to this is just....meh

  • @Slavolko

    @Slavolko

    @@Saul_Goodman555 Obito was clearly crushed by a boulder. He died. The way in which Kishimoto revived him was pretty lazy. But you have your mind made up, that's fine.

  • @Saul_Goodman555

    @Saul_Goodman555

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@Slavolko It's not that I have made my mind up. It's just that you cannot justify getting rid of things that have been hinted at very early in the show. The reason why everyone says that Kaguya should have never happened is because there was no foreshadowing, and she can easily be removed without it impacting the plot much at all (in fact, it actually gets better with her removal). Then there's Obito and Madara. This has been planned probably a decade ago before it actually got revealed. And they were very well executed mind you. But because of how the War arc itself was executed, your argument is that Kishimoto should have never made a certain decision 10 years ago because of how the present arc turned out. This is just illogical because there is nothing wrong (narratively speaking) with what he did back then. The story could have been pushed forward any other way, and if it was executed badly near the very end, you would make this same argument. As I said before, the flaws of the War arc could easily be fixed with those characters still in it. The power scaling could have been different/better even with Madara revived.

    I love your point in the beginning about “rising and falling”, as well as saying Naruto had a lot more growth to do after the Pain arc because ppl thought his arc was complete because he was the Leaf hero. Also the point about Naruto wanting to be a certain type of Hokage, and having to work have those attributes before being named Hokage was beautiful. However, I disagree with two points, but otherwise AMAZING video: 1. Sakura doing what she did during the Kage Summit arc was because of something she initially put on Naruto, then later was due to her being tired of relying on him for everything. That was not his fault. She always relied on Sasuke & Naruto because she was inept in a lot of ways. There’s no justifying her actions. That was all to satiate her ego and really misguided attempts at making herself feel useful within their team 2. Putting Kakashi & Sakura’s flaws on Naruto and saying they didn’t resolve them because he tried to take them on himself doesn’t work because he still resolves it for them later anyway during the Final Valley Pt. ✌🏾

  • @HotBoySpicy

    @HotBoySpicy

    2 жыл бұрын

    I explain in my video her initially putting it on Naruto is null. That IS NOT the reason Naruto even started his obsession with Sasuke. It was something bigger before that. Re read their first fight in the valley of the end. Naruto lays out his feelings regarding Sasuke. THIS is why he did what he did. It never had much to do with the promise. And after the timeskip, those feelings too mature into something much bigger than him and Sasuke. But Sakura DIDN'T know this, because Naruto refused to confide with anyone about anything going on in his head. This obsession with doing everything himself causes unnecessary problems that bleed into Sakura and Kakashi's actions. Sakura's actions were predicated on wanting to relieve Naruto of a burden she believes she placed on him. But as I clearly elaborate in my video, she was never the cause of Naruto's obsession. This is Naruto's fault because Sakura's actions would all be avoidable had he elucidated his feelings and let her share in his solo burden. I'm confused on your comment on Sakura's ego. It's not even a stretch on my end to say she was doing everything to try and help Naruto. This plot line starts with Sai literally telling Sakura she is the root cause of Naruto's suffering due to the promise, so she reacts by doing something she knows Naruto will be against, but believes it will ultimately lead to an end where he won't suffer anymore. She was wrong, obviously, which I lay out clearly in my video. Killing Sasuke would have led to more suffering for her and Naruto. The only problem is she doesn't know how much it would effect Naruto, since he had yet to elaborate on the extent of his feelings toward Sasuke. And she DOES get to see this when Naruto talks to Sasuke after he swoops in. I actually can't tackle your second criticism yet, as I am specifically targeting this very concept you bring up in my final part. Wouldn't wanna spoil what I'm going to be saying in a later video :)

    @@HotBoySpicy I always knew it was more than the promise for Naruto since I first witnessed that fight at the end of Part 1. I got that sh*t way back when 😂 I wasn’t saying she was the cause of his obsession, I’m saying that in her mind that’s what she believed. You’re right that he never told her that and probably should’ve. Your first rebuttal is fair, however I could make the argument since she is one of Naruto’s closest friends she should’ve been able to figure that it meant more than his promise to her she’s pretty smart sometimes 🤷🏾‍♂️😂 On one hand of the ego front, she believes she’s doing it for Naruto’s sake which….ok…fine, but on the other to me it also seems rooted in her longstanding insecurity of always “walking behind Naruto and Sasuke”. She feels she doesn’t really contribute much so she wants to do her part like she promised Naruto she would at the end of part 1 when she said she’d “come with him next time”. I know you said she was wrong, but I feel you massively undersold her mistake. It was pretty egregious on almost if not all fronts, and it was like 90% her fault. Sai and Naruto can split the last 10%. I honestly feel like I’m being generous to Sakura for 90% I’m intrigued to see how you tackle that concept you proposed in the future my guy licking forward to it!

It just seem like such childish writing when the villains go "I will entrust you to save the world" even though Naruto has an extremely flawed ideology. The world of Naruto is not as complicated as our own, politically and logistically. The story of it is also much shorter than ours. In that sense, I wouldn't say it's childish nor unrealistic within the boundaries of its own goals. It's a very nuanced story, and the character writing is more human, more nuanced and mature than any other shonen I've ever read by far, it's not even close. And I've probably read the vast majority of the shonen manga most people know about. But that's my opinion I guess. Its implementation of its main themes is also unmatched.

    I thinks acknowledging your pain leads to confronting it. He never really did that before until he got to the waterfall. The nine tails represents hatred. Naruto tells the nine tails he’ll come for his hatred too, and he does. By them working together that’s accepting and confronting hatred. I think the villagers all kinda knew they fucked up. Naruto, as hokage, aims to fix that by creating a new, better leaf village. In Boruto the tailed beasts aren’t seen with hatred, anymore. They teach their children about The nine tails, and how cool naruto is for saving the world with its help. All the kids think he is so cool, and look up to him. That’s where you really start change.
