im 41 and discovered this band last month. been into hardcore since the late 90s. this new generation of bands are amazing. i count my self a Knocked Loose fan.
I love it when insanely heavy bands like Lorna shore and Knocked Loose become popular, it's so good to see more people get into extreme music 🙌

Thank you!! 😊
As someone who was seeing knocked loose come to nashville since 2013, I must say they were GODS around here, in the southern metal scene. They could absolutely do no wrong, pop culture is a goated album, and when they started writing/performing laugh tracks we all knew they weren't long for the "underground" scene. It's actually incredible I was able to go pick up their new record off the shelf at Target. Such a cool thing to do, go from seeing them playing in living rooms, to a decade later buying a target exclusive pressing of their album.
@xtheyan

Thanks for sharing that ! I love making those videos because I want people to see how much work it is for a band like Knocked Loose to get as popular as they are
@Kingston.screams

@xtheyan they worked their asses off. Considering Bryan was 19 when they started, it's incredible to have seen that work ethic pay off. I was 17 at the time, and being almost 30 now brings a little tear to my eye. I got to see them headlining on the Tear in the Fabric of Life album release tour with Kublai Khan and Movements, the opening date of it as well. And just seeing how much everything has changed, yet stayed the same is incredible. Still the same energy they brought when playing in front of 45 people in a living room, but this time in front of a sold out Brooklyn Bowl. Some bands are just good metal, work hard, and are loved by diehard fans (Varials, Spite, etc.), and then some bands (Knocked Loose) transcend metal and somehow play at Coachella, Bonnaroo, etc. Anyway thanks for the video, was very nostalgic for me.
I love this band. They basically got me into Hardcore and I'm so thankful for that💪
Seriously such an underrated channel. I genuinely look forward to each and every one of your videos. Tbh, it's a shame you don't have at *least* 50K. Sending love from Alaska 🤘

Honestly, I feel like Knocked Loose as a name really fits the band and its sound. Someone mentions the name 'Knocked Loose' and I instantly hear the vocals and the drop G tuning from a few of their songs and I feel an instant surge to just mosh and hardcore dance around my house.
I grew up with 1990s Hardcore with bands like Unbroken, Morning Again, Botch, Disembodied, Groundwork, Coalesce, Deadguy, Strain, Chokehold, Refused, AcMe and so on. I think the new breed of bands is really inspiring and i am happy that many kids get into that kind of music again. Took me some time to get into Knocked Loose, but they are definitely an awesome band and live absolutely killer.
I think it's worth mentioning that A Tear in the Fabric of Life is a concept album. The only one I've ever appreciated. It tells a brutal and realistic story. Goosebumps every time.
Love Counterparts for featuring in Billy Nomates. It’s almost like a testament of faith from them in Knocked Loose’s coming up saying “this band is gonna slay” Love your content and watching your growth man! 🤟🏻
Just as i was looking for something to watch while eating this video pops up in my feed. Awesome !

Another great video, was already a fan of knocked loose but found out tons of awesome new info and stuff about the band. Thanks xTheYan! Warm that coffee up 😂
Thank you so much for making these videos, I know it may be disheartening sometimes cause the audience for these genres can be so small, but those of us who do follow you really appreciate all the work you do, cause like others have said, not many people make these informational videos on our favorite bands. Also the haircut and merch look clean 🤘🏻

I heard of Knocked Loose when they were touring with Bring Me the Horizon, and I was absolutely floored with their performance. It was so raw! I remember thinking "Idk if BMTH is gonna be able to top this lol" great band and happy to be a new fan relative to the other OGs on here
Gatekeepers need to hush. Knocked Loose are gonna be the reason young people continue to get into "real hardcore" and "true metalcore" Also "Pop Culture" is a masterpiece of an EP. That's my favorite cassette I own Plugging some bands, keeping the gate open: Deadguy Unbroken Judge Harvest Snapcase Coalesce
My buddy got me into them a few years ago. They just keep getting better and better. ATITFOL is some of the best music I’ve ever heard. The new album is just amazing
i missed them the first time they came to my town in 2014, saw them once with weekend nachos on their last tour in 2017, and the last time they came through my town last year. uncompromising from the very beginning. every album is better than the last and its wild to see how a band like this changed the scene to what it is today so many young kids now. fucking wild shows every time.
thank you so much for the work that went into this!!! i loved all the rare footage you dug up. i completely agree with you that KL and also Bryan are such nice guys it really is hard not to like them. (thought it was adorable that you added that comment.) that might be one thing i really love about KL. their music is heavy and brutal and painful and the guys are completely down to earth and more serious about their music and the quality of it than they are concerned about their egos, like being the cool rock/metal star kind of thing. that maybe makes their music even more raw and brutal. the guys aren't there to look tough, they simply mean everything they put out. ...hope that makes any sense... and i feel the urge to add that your english is absolutely not terrible... don't be so hard on yourself. you're completely fine ⭐

You should check out "Underneath The Gun" They were pretty big w/ like Suicide Silence, Wings of Plague and all those bands when they were blowing up. A group of friends all very young, dominating the hxc/dxc scene
I remember February 2015 Kingmaker played their last show and knocked loose played that night, I knew they were gonna be huge didnt know when or how but they seeing them now makes me glad I became a fan
You should do Boundaries next, it's amazing how far they've come.
Never expected this video but I'm glad to see it
that mug goes hard
I've been in love with them for years. I'm so glad they are getting their flowers ❤ they deserve it big time.
I really respect that they didn't compromise their sound at all in getting this big and that they did and still are bringing much smaller hardcore and death metal bands along for the ride. When Bring Me the Horizon, Architects, Code Orange and other previously heavy bands blew up they did it by pivotting to rock/pop music and made no effort to introduce their new fans to the scene they came from.
I wish I still had access to my cell phone from 2014. I have so many videos I took of them performing in Spinelli's Downtown and Haymarket
Forget Your Name is such a banger. Keith kills it 🖤
I recently came across your channel, I'm not a big fan of deathcore and metalcore, I'm more a fan of brutal death and slamming brutal death, and deathcore seemed to me a more "clean" version of slam and brutal death metal, but still I always wanted to understand it, although it didn't always work out, and so I just I came across your channel and I was fascinated, it is clear that you are passionately talking about your favorite music, I immediately looked at the main videos about myspace deathcore, I will definitely look in this strain and I do not want to seem arrogant, but, of course, if it is not difficult for you, could you name a few of the most raw, nasty and brutal deatcore releases, thank you in advance and good luck with the development of the channel.

@@keircampbell443 I'm from a new generation of metalheads, I've been listening to metal for no more than 4 years, but somehow it so happened that I only had a "nu metal phase" from "new school metal" so far, and then I immediately got into "oldschool metal", I can't say that I was "true metal elitist", but there were some preconceptions, with metalcore and deathcore, and other genres of "modern metal", I got acquainted only relatively recently, and if everything is more or less clear with metalcore - this is a melodic and groove genre that you can sometimes listen to, although I prefer more "brutal" music, but with deathcore, especially MySpace era, in my opinion, everything is much more interesting and less unambiguous, so I would like to learn more about deathcore, of course I listened to all the most famous for a long time, but I I would like to know about bands from deathcore notables that are more "death" than "core" with a more raw, bass and nasty guitar sound.

Eh, I do think his voice/lyrics/stage presence draw a lot of people in, but personality wise he’s a pretty chill reserved person and he looks like 50% of the guys I could find at a local hardcore show, so I don’t think those contribute much. The other major draw in my opinion is the combination of their oppressive heaviness with super solid songwriting.
As much I’m proud of Knocked Loose for playing Coachella, I’m kinda feeling a little jealous 😂 But in all seriousness, I really am because we a lot of heavy bands out there that work their ass off and they aren’t getting acknowledged.

I started dipping my toes into my local hc scene in 2013 and dove in deep in 2014. I remember leaving a show and my friend who drove asked me if i had heard KL and I said no so he threw it on. We drove home without saying a word, no pauses or anything and when it was done I was like "holy fucking shit it just did not stop, it was absolutely relentless" or something along those lines. We saw them for the first time in either late summer or early fall of 2015 when they finally came to our city. a friend from our local scene was/is a graphic designer and made a shirt for them that was sold at the show and I bought one and still have it. Dude I love your videos and I love your content, I even would go as far as to say you did an excellent job covering KL's history. To be honest though, I did THE biggest eye roll when you began talking about how you don't care what genre's a band belongs to at around 19:00 or 20:00 minutes into the video. The reason most bands don't care about what what genre their fans lump them into is because their music/product is already a made thing. Why would they care if anybody mislabeled what their music is? What do they stand to gain from denying their music is a certain genre? The bands that really do love and have a grasp on their own music will come clean with what they think their album/music really is. As a fan of music and genre's though, it pisses me off when I see bands and people like you give out the garbage take of "oh it's just heavy". Ok? There are millions of bands and artists you could technically classify as that. Ozzy Osbourne, Knocked Loose, Bullet For My Valentine, Cannibal Corpse and Fleshgod Apocalypse could all classify under the umbrella term of "heavy" but you and I know that these bands should be put into different descriptions for what they are, not just "heavy". Whether the band agrees with it or not. It helps people also understand and come to terms with what music they like. I'll give the example Fleshgod Apocalypse. With just a couple extra words and categorizing them as a "Italian symphonic technical death metal band", that will help you understand their music and help you find related bands far easier than just saying they're a "heavy metal band".
@xtheyan
Ай бұрын
Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed the video ! But saying it's a "garbage" take is once again just an opinion, not a fact. I understand where you're coming from, but I'm working on these videos every single day and I've been a part of the scene from as long as I can remember and believe me, I really used to care a lot about the labels but now I just care about enjoying the music or not. I'm not saying we should call Deathcore "Heavy Metal" it might be a bit too general to be honest , but the example you gave with the "Italian symphonic technical death metal band" is exactly what I meant in the video! It's WAY too specific in my opinion and it only matters on Reddit and instagram comment sections.. but at the end of the day, I think "Technical Death Metal" is more than enough to understand the kind of metal they're doing.
@MultiTestify
29 күн бұрын
@@xtheyan I appreciate you for hearing out my arguments and replying man! The point I'm making is, you don't have know genre's or care about them.. To each their own, that's fine. If you want to tell people Fleshgod Apocalypse is just a "technical death metal band" then that's all good with me, I will continue telling people they're an "Italian symphonic technical death metal band" so that people have a better idea of what I'm talking about. To ignore what genre's music and art in general should get classified in and to imply it doesn't matter in my view is lazy, goofy and inartistic. When people mislabel Picasso paintings as being impressionist paintings, it doesn't matter if the fans think they are impressionist, they are not, the genre's really do matter. Everyone has a sexual orientation and gender identity too, a very similar idea to genre's. You can put a solid label on any set sexual orientation or gender identity as well, it's just most people don't know the specific term to define theirs or they choose to deny it.
