At the age of 26, when he ascended to the throne, Sultan Suleiman aimed to build an empire more powerful than Alexander the Great and to render the Ottomans invincible. Throughout his 46-year reign, he became the greatest warrior and ruler of both East and West.
The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. Unaware that he would be ruling a reign beyond his dreams, he left behind his wife son and took to the road with his close friend and companion Pargali Ibrahim to reach the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.

I love this part of the story most ❤ even if you say it is dramatized, for me it's more more romantic than any other part. When u love someone so deeply, it's obvious that you become very possessive 😍that's called true love in my point of view ❤❤❤

This is heavily dramatized, of course, since no account speaks of Hürrem marching in, blade in hand (although she did, supposedly, fall into a form of hysterics rather than "asking"), but it actually is inspired by a possible historical event. It's also, interestingly enough, the only interaction of Hürrem with Hafsa that's recorded and, unlike in the show, she's favorable towards her son's concubine. "The sultan was given by a sanjak bey [provincial governor] two beautiful Russian maidens, one for his mother and one for him. When they arrived in the palace, his second wife [Hürrem], whom he esteems at present, became extremely unhappy and flung herself to the ground weeping. The mother, who had given her maiden to the sultan, was sorry about what she had done, took her back, and sent her to a sanjak bey as wife, and the sultan agreed to send his to another sanjak bey, because his wife would have perished from sorrow if these maidens-or even one of them-had remained in the palace."- Leslie Peirce, _Empress of the East: How a European Slave Girl Became Queen of the Ottoman Empire_

Whoever was in charge of Hurrem’s costumes, make up and hairstyles for this period needed to be fired. She started of with beautiful dresses like the white, blue and red one, her hair looked well kept and pretty in locks. Then we have this disaster, her outfit looks so unflattering, her hair is a mess and her make up is terrible. Thankfully, she had a glow up after she married Suleiman. Hurrem looked gorgeous in that season and the third season, I was actually mesmerized by her look when Suleiman woke up from the coma (she had a red dress and her hair was so pretty), also the start of the 3rd season night when Suleiman returned from campaign and called her in his room. Her sparkly blue dress also suited her a lot. Hurrem looked like a true queen.

Hurrem sultan asked politely Suleiman to send them who asked hafsa the same and she did it. That's it. It was peaceful. Hurrem sultan never raised her voice or anything like that. Never sat down on floor. It's impossible for anyone to know such details anyway and that's not in the character of historical Hurrem sultan.
