Lol, that’s awesome! 😎 Not only is it awesome, it’s a fact, not a theory. We are past the point that DEI helps minorities who are qualified. It’s strictly political theatre & propaganda and everyone knows it but they are too afraid to say it! DEI is doing the complete opposite of its intention. We have medical students who want to be medical doctors and medical students who want to be Nurse’s who are not qualified to be a Doctor or a Registered Nurse.

I agree. I taught building construction for 13 years (possess both a journeyman status and 4 year education degree) and had eight years working on construction before teaching. What I encountered from both administrations and counselors was that academics was supreme and the trade programs were for the “dummies” (as my last principal described. He was a phy. Ed teacher, enough said). The secondary system is run by those who have NO real world experience but have led the charge that you are to be respected. In the real world respect is earned, not given.

I graduated High School in 1990 and I didn’t go to College. My mom got me a Civil Service job. Anyways, I’m shocked that you saw this coming in the effin 80s! My mother-in-law (RIP mom) was a Professor at Hofstra University for over 30 years. Yes, she was a democrat but not a Leftist socialist neoliberal, by any means. (No, I’m not saying that because she was my mother-in-law) My mother-in-law loved two presidents. Number one Franklin Delano Roosevelt and her second was John F. Kennedy. I’m a gen-X mom (as I called her and miss) was the Greatest generation, so she had old school democrat values. After she retired and lived with my wife and me, I could talk history for hours with her. After 30 years of being a Democrat, she voted Republican and or independent. She was very much a believer in the old-guard Democratic Party and she realized that the democratic party she joined in the 40s was nothing like the modern-day Democratic Party. “The Democratic Party has become a Socialist neoliberal party under the guise of being the traditional Democratic Party.”- Ruth Prigozy 2017

@@davidmorton9722 I took motorcycles and marine repair from 10th to 12th grade. I went to Boces in the morning and then a bus ride back to school for regular academic classes in the afternoon. At Boces they taught everything from nursing, baking, hair styling etc etc. There were times when other teachers were snobby for sure. But on the whole, I was only made fun of maybe 2-3 times, if that? Well, according to Elon Musk, there won’t be any jobs left. However, AI or not, someone is going to have to fix the plumbing, heating, AC, cars etc. Academy is on its way to destruction while Trade will always be needed.

It would be amazing to see those universities lose all that funding... what a day that would be, when they actually had to start teaching again, not ideology, but actually teaching students their degree subject matter, to do proper research again, to innovate and create new technologies... instead of what they are currently doing, making people believe they are smarter than they actually are, providing a degree that is not worth the paper it's written on.

He's got a very...clarifying understanding of the D.E.I. initiative born of extensive research into neo-Marxist ideology expressed in Critical Theory and all its cultural facets. I saw some of this in the 90s, but as a liberal, I thought it (race, gender, etc) was an area of inquiry that was valid for a certain small niche. It was clear even then that it made bitter people: made already bitter even more so, taught happy people to become bitter. It was also clear that some of them were out for revenge; they could not be trusted to look at things objectively and were actively trying to harm people who thought differently from them. But I graduated, moved on to the real world, and didn’t see it much after. It’s clear that it has metastasized into something far bigger, far worse. I am no longer a liberal (or won’t vote liberal anymore while this mob is in control) because of it. I have tried to warn people, introduce alternative views in the most gentle way possible, only to be summarily dismissed. Well, we tried. Now it’s time to dismiss these people from all the positions of influence they have had. To rebalance academia. All because they couldn’t stop while they were ahead.

There is nothing wrong wit Diversity ,Equity and inclusion . This has always been the ideal in society an unvoiced philosophy that we are all equal , that no one is more superior than another , and that all men and women and for that matter animals and whatever in the ideal scheme of things are all eaual and that nothing or no one is more important than anything else . To say or think that this is a new type of thinking that Man should adopt and take on board is also fallacious . This has been around for a long time . University students in particular carry the torch for this Diversity , however with these individuals it amounts to a release of tension from the rigours of study and if it wasn't so called Diversity it would be something else . Purely a fad , a current popularity that will fade as soon as the final exams come around and everyone has to get down to the nitty gritty of getting on in the world 💚
