There was no mystery around his death & no questions went unanswered. Do you know how dangerous it is to say a deliberate act of suicide, may or may not kill you & may give you a sexual thrill? You should change your video to state the facts! Someone may try what Michael did thinking they'll survive. Erotic asphyxiation (EA) when done alone - involves rendering oneself unconscious in such a way that they expect it to come undone while they're unconscious (I won't tell you the ways here). Sadly they are still very likely to die or get brain damage - Don’t do it. The coroner confirmed there was no sexxaul activity going on & that the way he hung himself (can be looked up), he clearly did not expect to regain consciousness and as such ruled it a suicide. Also - Although Yates changed her story from suicide, because of depression, to EA & said she was challenging the corners report, she never did challenge it.

He was happier with his new girlfriend Erin whom he was with for several months before the end. The police investigation after his death into phone records and interviews with other's including the band, found he would fly her in to stay with him as he and the band travelled. After he had a break down in England on October 17th, as is in the coroner report, he was in therapy then renewed his Prozac before leaving on Oct 30th. All this is in the death investigation found online and in Gee's book about the suicide investigation. He then went to LA to stay with his girlfriend Erin at her apartment. You can look up photos of him hanging and performing at The Viper Club on Nov 5th. The band had finished their USA tour in September, and he could have stayed in England, but hated it there. It was after Duran released that horrible song on Oct 14th teling Michael to stop wanting to be and to stop helping Paula. Later Simon LeBon tried to say it was a fan song and then about drugs, but the interviews from 97, LeBon (a close friends of Geldof) said it was because they thought he shouldn't be helping Paula with her divorce. Paula was going broke and Michael was helping her out. SOoooo The investigation after Michael's suicide showed he had been on the phone with Erin for hours when away from her, stayed at her apartment (not a hotel as some said) and Erin said that he and Paula argued about breaking up on the phone. (Mystify Documentary). The whole plan to try a few weeks in Australia for before and after Xmas - not during xmas as some said (see The Police Statement of Paula Yates), was because Paula knew he never wanted to return to the UK.

Paula was unbalanced - she bragged to a friend that she gave Michael's dad and mom BARBEQUE ASHES, instead of their 3rd each of Michael's ashes, and showed her friend that she had all his ashes! Sickening (its under Catherine Mayer "everything you know is wrong - Paula yates). Still she was treated horribly by the press. She said Bob was abusive and controlling and the press called her a liar, even said her suicide attempt in 97 before Michael died, was to get attention. Can you imagine the press treating someone like that today? The MeToo movement would come to her defense and today we take suicide seriously.

So much wrong here - First up he committed suicide as a result of multiple pressures and Prozac - His money & Estate was stolen by Colin Diamond and some others including Tony Alford - his properties sold off and his personal goods including his motor bikes and Aston Martin. You also pronounced Kylie Minogue wrong. Perhaps do some better research next time...

@@CindyBarg Correct. They did not launch their band with the name INXS. It was The Farriss Brothers. Jeez… do some research before you make up stuff. And, they released one album after his death with JD Fortune called Switch. Elegantly Wasted was the final album released by the band with Michael. It’s been established that Michael suffered major head trauma/brain damage years earlier that contributed to his downfall.

In this there is no mention of the traumatic brain injury Michael suffered in 1992 when he was assaulted and knocked to the ground, fracturing his cranium and causing permanent loss of his sense of smell and taste. The aftereffects caused major cognitive changes and severe depression that only worsened with a toxic relationship in his last years. A monumental tragedy and a great loss for him and all he might still have become. March is the month of Brain Injury Awareness; the life changing event that he suffered, and a contributing factor that is often overlooked when documenting his life.

I didn't know the man, however, from all my research he wouldn't have committed suicide. His head trauma surely led him to depths of despair over seeing his child and Paula Yates daughters as well. It's hard to know the truth without actually being in the room with him. All the chaos going on in his life with the mix of alcohol and Prozac he very well could've contemplated suicide. He was very private though. He would not have want to have been found naked-dead. From all accounts he was a very lovely, kind, generous, and immensely talented young man. Very sad.

My cousin John had an accident and hit his head hard causing a concussion with a brain lesion. He never was the same. He hung himself a year later. It was a shock! He was always laughing a very happy go lucky guy. He was only 40 years old. It’s a fact that Michael Hutchence had a brain injury after being attacked by a crazed taxi driver. He also was never the same. There’s concrete proof out there. So stop with the nonsense you’re spewing!

I think it was a suicide, he couldn't stand the pressure of his personal situation and health. Yates spoke of erotic asphyxiation because she couldn't admit that she contributed to Michael's undoing with her pressure on him. He didn't want to marry her, and she didn't like it. She was a very calculating woman

True. Yates was originally blaming Bob and the press and she agreed it was suicide. She threatened to sue magazines via her lawyers for suggesting that it was a sex game gone wrong. It was only later, in February, that she change her story. It was assumed it was guilt or from threat of a slander suit from Bob for calling him a murderer in the press. Daily Record (Glasgow) Nov 24, 97 - "Speaking on Paula's BEHALF last night, her lawyer Anthony Burton slammed the "scurrilous and grossly irresponsible speculation" that kinky sex played a part in Hutchence's death. He insisted: "There is NO evidence whatsoever to support this." "Police insider said: "There were no sex games. It was 100 per cent suicide." A detective added: "It is very sad, but not suspicious. "

His death was never questionable and always considered to be a suicide. His TBI was just a distraction and irrelevant. Both Paula and Michael were attacked by the press and by Bob's legal pressures and constantly changing his mind, to the point that they BOTH were suicidal. Read what Paula said about Bob in The Police Statement of Paula Yates. Paula herself had a suicide attempt a few months before Michael did and friends of her's told biographer Lovegrove that she feared he may take his life. Not only did the coroner and investigation confirm suicide and no sexual activity was going (there was also no semen on his leg as Paula later tried to say), but pathologist Dr. Shepherd confirmed the same after doing a reinactment, saying "this was not a sex game gone wrong". He confirmed the findings of suicide as the only cause. He noted that along with having severe depression, there was the way he hung himself, without a soft ligature that would come undone. Michael never expected to regain consciousness.

His TBI was horrible and he started on prozac back in 92 according to biographers Lovegfove and his sister's books. Biographers also noted that one of the savings graces of the TBI, was that he could barely do drugs anymore because of all the prescription meds he required. That said the TBI had little to do with his suicide which was to do with the despair around the court cases Paula dragged him into or with the horrible press Bob was pushing against him. Look up "the police statement of Paula Yates" and all the articles where she originally said how depressed Michael was and that she blamed Bob. She later sold the EA story for money and because insurance doesn't pay out when its suicide, so she had to cast doubt.
