I found the final well scene is the creepiest, but this scene here, really good too.

for the last TEN YEARS I have had this scene burned into my mind, and finally with a really long and ridiculous sounding Google search, I found the movie and the scene itself. phew now I can REST lol

Yea this says a lot about samara’s character . Her heart is really sickening and ruthless . She really played Rachel from the very beginning, tugging at her heartstrings and painting herself as the victim lol .

I've never understood how people could interpret Samara as being a broken/misunderstood character.. The twist at the end of The Ring legitimately TELLS the viewer that she's evil, and her intentions have always been bad. It's why Rachel left Seattle, and it's why as soon as she realized Samara had found them she went right back to trying to STOP Samara.

That is sooo scarey when she put the needle in her neck!

Hideo Nakata is indeed a great director, and to me, that's the best scene of the movie. The Ring Two can make us both fear and pity Samara, because she wants to change and be loved, but that won't work. Her powers are evil and they can't be used for good things, she is an inhuman child, an anti-nature being, her birth was a curse for herself and humanity. The scariest thing is that we don't see what Samara showed to Temple. I wonder what horrors Temple saw, which made her kill herself... that's what makes this scene so creepy. But, at the same time, its sad because Samara knows killing and torturing doesn't make her happy (thankfully), she's just doing what she was born to do. She wants to be loved by Rachel - since it was her who freed Samara from the well -, she wanted to have a happy life like Aidan. The Ring Two is perfect, one of the most underrated movies i've ever seen. Also, David Dorfman's acting is FANTASTIC. Beside Naomi Watts being great as Rachel, The Ring already showed this boy's talent, but man, he understood Samara's character perfectly! Too bad he's gone from Hollywood, he was a talented kid!

@@brianaguilar8283 It's sad to see that a lot of people didn't even understand the first movie, and now wants to criticize the second. First, the tape was made to Samara spread her curse. That's why you can survive if you make a copy, you now know about her tragic story, you show it to another person that will also know, and it never stops. Samara has other ways of killing, but the tape was made because she wants to spread her story. She wants people to know and sympathize for her pain. And second, she was not born evil. She didn't want to hurt people, the horses or her mother, she this is the question: she is a demon child. And she will never live in peace with our world or nature, because she is a demon. This is the sad of her story, she wasn't only a victim of her abusive adoptive parents, she is also a being unable to live among humans without briging pain. The only thing she ever wanted was to have a normal life like a normal child, but she can't, that's an ultimate tragedy. This is way she still curses and kills people even before being freed (and rejected in The Ring 2 ending) by Rachel, because she is a demon. Her powers are EVIL, they can only be used for evil, but Samara didn't choose this. Tragic. As Samara herself said in the hospital scene, she doesn't want to hurt people. But she does. And she is truly sorry, but... it won't stop. It *can't* stop.

@Léo Humbert Collonge yes, she wants people to feel and know the suffering she had to pass through. And after The Ring 2, she totally lost the hope and empathy she had to others, now she is even reborn in Julia's body. And about the Morgans, i loved the story about Anna "messing with nature" and getting pregnant of Samara, but Evelyn's story was also pretty good. Too bad 2017 "Rings" ruined everything...

@Léo Humbert Collonge Like you said we all have different interpretations. I don’t think Samara was born with sadism. But because of her blood she eventually learned it. It’s like how they say lying is learned behavior. But to be fair, the MOST dangerous Samara got before being killed, was just burning images in minds. She said “everyone will suffer” before her death not after. After her death it got even worse. The video tape chain started and that’s when she had 1 killing after another. It made her previous self look tame. It’s a shame Ann’s panicked and killed her thinking that would just FIX everything when it made things worse. I feel different about Samara than I used to. As much as I love my villains in movies (Sam being my personal favorite) I’d rather them trap her in another dimension where she can dominate all she wants until she gets tired of it. While all humans on earth are safe. Killing her on earth only made her rec more havoc.

Elizabeth Perkins is so lovely and angelic. She looks so much with Bernadette Peters. David Dorfman is really cute and adorable aswell.❤

Naomi Watts and Elizabeth Perkins both look good in this movie.

Also, non-fatal unless she hit an artery, and in that case why isn't she bleeding out?

How long did it take for hospital staff to find out what happen to Dr. Emma Temple? And what happened after that?

No one knows, but that's honestly a good question since Rachel is still under watch of child services and now there's a trail of dead people who were pushing for Aidan to be hospitalized and "safe" from his mom. It'd probably be an hour or less for the staff to find her, but they probably wouldn't have much to go on at all since she just up and killed herself for no discernible reason.

Also like in the ending when the static flickers in the sky did you think Rachel really escaped back to the real world or is she and/or AIdan dead or is she getting trapped in a fake world with Samara pretending to be aiden like did Rachel really come back to the real world with Aiden and what do y'all think happens after to her or them

The flicker at the end to me is a sign that Samara is still around. She won’t be bothering Rachel and Aidan anymore, but the tape still lives on. That just closes the story for their lives, because Rachel closed the well on her. We know for sure it’s not Samara’s world due to the foreshadowing of this from the nightmares of Aidan. Rachel tells him to follow her voice to get out of any dream; in the Samara world, Rachel hears Noah’s voice guiding her back from the world of the dead, before hearing Aidan’s voice at the edge of the cliff. She follows Aidan’s voice, and ends up back in the real world- just as she said to Aidan. She also “listened to her baby,” as was stated by Elizabeth, both to get Samar’s out of Aidan and to get home to him. When she gets back, Aidan is yelling Rachel, something Samara would not be doing (the only exception being the drowning scene, but we know it’s Samara at this time, she switches back to calling her mommy, and we obviously see her leaving Aidan’s body after the drowning scene, as well as Aidan finally waking up). We get further confirmation when, Aidan calls her “mommy” and then “mom,” after Rachel says for him to do a favor. Aidan was asked earlier to call her “mom” maybe “mommy” in the movie, so that’s another probable sign it’s not Samaras world (as Samara would’ve just kept saying mommy). The final confirmation is Rachel asks him not to do so due to her experiences with Samara and they both laugh about it and agree, which to me, says the story between Samara and them is closed.

I just watched that scene, there is only a doctor sitting there. Looks to be completely on purpose.

So sorry for her.

After seeing this, I had to watch Elizabeth Perkins in Cats and Dogs. She's a great actress to pull off funny and scary movies. I mean hell, look at Ryan Reynolds. He's Deadpool today, but he did play the father on the remake of The Amityville Horror. These actors are something else.

Air in the blood stream messes up the flow of blood, causing the heart to implode. I used to have that as one of my worst fears and this clip just brought it up again.

If an air bubble gets into your bloodstream it passes into your heart and stops it.

In your vein it's fine, well not fine, but you can usually filter air bubbles safely into your lungs. There is a risk air bubbles could become trapped in the chambers of your heart, but it's pretty unlikely. If an air bubble ends up in an artery then this is more of a medical emergency and death can happen quickly and air will become trapped in the chambers of the heart and potentially cause damage or even cause it to stop. It's not as cut and dry as people in the comments are making out and regardless it would be agonising.

She doesn't control neither people or animals. She shown Dr. Temple pictures that were so disturbing and inhuman that made her commit suicide. But Samara can't control minds, or else she would have done that to her mother and avoid her own death.

I think that that kid is becoming the new Samara Morgan... If I'm correct, I don't get why people hate this movie's plot. I get that they hate the overusing of jumpscares, but the plot is clever.

Did you even understand the plot at all? Samara wanted to feel loved, so got into Aiden's body to achieve it. She knew Aiden's relationship with his mother was strong, so that was why Samara picked him.

I think they'd retconed it because I think how Samara killed Dr Scott, the guy on the video tape that Richard stole and that Rachel watxhes in the house, I think I read I forgot where but he died instantly of a heart attack. In here its just mind control which I don't think fits the lore establish in the first movie, I mean yes the horses did suicide off the cliff, I don't really know maybe its a callback to something like that in a way.
