Dear Sir! Your wife before marrying you was enjoying her parents' love and kindness. Now that she has entered into marriage agreement with you and now that she has chosen to live with you for the rest of her life, she expects you to fulfill her desires for love and affection. "In the year 1969, out of a total of 10372 separations, 1203 women expressed the reason for their divorce as losing heart in life, feeling worthless, and the lack of care of their husband with regard to their wives' desires and emotional feelings." 2 "A woman said in court that 'She was prepared to abandon her dowry and even pay her husband a sum of money to make him agree to a divorce. Dont be a secret wife!!! Salam sister. You knew one sided stories and not practical. I don’t want to write too much. Just let you know that, there are spouses in either side, men or women are also neglecting their duties even though their spouse is fair one. People think, many men are not doing their duties to their to their wife. Many cases, wife also neglect their husbands rights. Whoever (whether it’s husband or wife) neglect their obligation in their marriage, has to answer to the Almighty. Many good men suffer in silence as they don’t want to break their families.

Women are treated like queens and the men is actually to pity, if anyone, because they are always working with so many responsibilities lying over their shoulders. Women can do anything but they simply are not obligated to do many things men are, in the worldly life.

Very good advice for marriage. The Quran says: SAHIH INTERNATIONAL 4:34 But those [wives] from whom you fear arrogance - [first] advise them; [then if they persist], forsake them in bed; and [finally], strike them. But if they obey you [once more], seek no means against them. Indeed, Allah is ever Exalted and Grand. It prescribes both things the Sheikh says don't do, abandonment and strike, and it's arrogance shouldn't even happen it's if you fear arrogance. Good on the sheikh for ignoring the Quran and following his common sense and western values. If only more Muslims and Sheiks were like him.

I am getting married. I need to know my husbands rights to be a good wife. I am a revert and need to learn lots. I don't know what to do for work. I need to work but don't to go against Islam. Oh a dead beat husband who lives off women as his slaves? That's awful. I would kick him out. That's not Islam. What an awful example to children. I still don't know my husbands rights. Can he demand me to wear a hijab? When I wear it I get a hard time from people. And people think my husband forces me yet he never asked me to. Can my husband demand no music in the house? Humm I will try to keep looking. I can't decide about my hijab. But even if my husband said to not or to wear it, it will still be the same. Even if the most studied tell me to not to or to, it still be the same. I feel I should but fell it's hard thing to do. No one can change that.
