The position to sleep after hair transplant procedure. At our clinic we are doing Advanced FUE Hair Transplant Procedure like Direct hair transplant procedure. So in this the extracted area, the dressing will be applied for 24 hours.. So you will have to sleep on your back resting the back on the donor area or the extracted area. So you keep a pillow which can touch the area, but if you have underwent transplant for the vertex area, that is if the top of the head the hair is transplanted, you should not touch the area. So if you sleep on your back avoid tilting your head on the back. So you can keep a neck support to keep your neck a little high for the next 1 to 2 weeks. First 10 days is very important for transplantation. You have to avoid any force or friction to that area. So you should not lie down on your face or sleep with your stomach down. So that will cause a lot of swelling on the face and your eyes will be swollen. If there is any swelling happening, even if you sleep on your back, the swelling will reduce in 2 to 3 days. We will prescribe your medicine or any required medications for the same if you take it within 2 to 3 days the swelling will be reduced. If you feel any pain is there or excessively or unnatural pain or swelling, you can contact us, we will help you. If you underwent transplant on the front area then you have to avoid sleeping on the sides, because the area may touch the transplanted area if you underwent transplant for the top or the vertex area, then you can sleep on your sides and avoid touching the top area of your head.
