THE RIDGE Wallet - After 1 Year - Review
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
THE RIDGE Wallet (After a year and 3 months of heavy use):
How do these wallets stand up and compare to others? Are knock offs on Amazon or Ebay better value? Let me know below. I have an Amazon knock off and it has stood up very well. Let me know what you think in the comments below. Do you know where these are manufactured? Bet you thought in the US. Think again.
Considering this for a gift? Do your research first.

I don’t have a ridge wallet, but the money clip on my current wallet is a bottle opener so I was worried about losing that feature. (I honestly use it a lot) But I’m probably going to use the ridge wallet as a bottle opener too lol
Thank you for sharing your experience with the Ridge Wallet

This is why I got brushed titanium…..looks brand new after years. My wife got me an anodized blue ridge wallet as a present and after a year it has shown a bunch of wear. Before those I had a carbon one which was great until you drop it on a corner.

I have several ridge wallets and my first one the forged carbon wallet I also used everyday for years. It was run over by NYC cab and still no problems. The great thing is that their products have a lifetime guarantee and if the finish just fell apart on its own they will help. They have some of the best customer service people for any company. I had a problem with one of their pens and without asking they shipped me replacement cartridges.

I’ve had nothing but headaches with their customer service. I had a money clip with a large and very sharp machining defect. Took me about 2 months to get a new clip from them with what should have been one or two emails back and forth ending up being more like 10-15. The way I was spoken to by multiple reps was odd, they seemed incredibly skeptical of my claims and reluctant to replace the clip despite having documented the defects in a detailed manner and it being very, very clear that the defects were due to a machining error. It’s was just a strange experience.

Anyone else have the problem with the cards getting super scratched up inside the wallet ? Idk what I should do about it
@DeepFryeFilms
11 ай бұрын
Yes that definitely happens. I find it helps if you push the cards out slightly using the notch on the bottom of the wallet and then squeeze the bottom outsides of the wallet together. This allows the top of the wallet to open up more so the card you are putting in doesn't get chafed as much.
Someone is being dishonest and artificially wore the finish. It’s either that or you got a defective anodize on the finish in which case Ridge will replace it with a new one.

Why are there no scratch marks on the wallet except where the paint is completely scraped off?
@DeepFryeFilms
Жыл бұрын
The coating is actually pretty durable and doesn't really scratch. Once you do get a spot on the coating that has chipped, it starts flaking pretty quickly. The sharp edges of keys, coins, pocket knives etc in the same pocket as the wallet are the culprit. I had one small spot of the coating that also bubbled and that chipped off and started to flake as well. The aluminum or whatever metal it is underneath the coating scratches very easily. This wallet has never been used gently and has also taken a couple of drops. It is very durable wallet, however it doesn't look pretty anymore. I still love it, but if you want it to always look perfect, I suggest you don't keep anything else in that pocket other than your wallet.
