Nigeria is so wealthy that some states in Nigeria are richer than most African countries and Nigerian cities with a sizable portion of the country’s most well-off groups aren’t too hard to tell. Talk of municipalities with pockets of the continent’s business moguls, entrepreneurs, expatriates, industries, jobs, branded goods-consuming class, and youth population.
Most of the largest West African cities are in Nigeria. Over 50% of Nigeria’s population lives in urban areas. The West African country will urbanize faster than its peers in the coming decade. Her urban dwellers should give or take, have surged to some 60% by 20-30.

    Well the richest areas in Nigeria (with the more wealthy people) are in Lagos, Abuja, PortHarcourt, Kano, and Anambra in that order. However, it seems your list is based on per capita, then I'll say you are probably spot on in that sense.

    You mixed up Uyo and Oyo State. Uyo is a city and capital of Akwa Ibom State in the delta region of Nigeria, while Oyo is a State in the western part of Nigeria known as Oyo State. Please note that for correction

    Very educative video i must say with very good drone shots. I must commend your research. I believe your ranking is based on per capita income otherwise there are far richer states in Nigeria. Only correction: Uyo is the capital city of Akwa-Ibom state and Oyo is the state which Ibadan is the capital city.

    Port Harcourt city urban renewal program is in top gear and Governor Wike Administration has done a marvelous job of building flyovers and widening of the existing roads and other infrastructure development like the Cancer hospital, Nigeria law school and so forth.

    Nice review. I must commend your effort. But I noticed some errors. First of all is the omission of Kano state. Kano state should be there right above Kaduna state. I also noticed that Benin city was mentioned in the list. I was quite surprised cos I schooled there. Benin city should not have made the list for real. If the vlog is really about the richest cities in Nigeria, then cities such as Abeokuta, Nnewi, Onitsha, Warri, Asaba, and Calabar should make the list ahead of Benin city. These Cities that I mentioned have more billionaires living in them and are more beautiful than Benin city.

I know Benin city in and out. I know a lot of cities in Nigeria that are far ahead of Benin city in terms of infrastructure and per capital income, for instance Calabar and Kano. U can't compare. They are miles ahead of Benin city. Also, cities like Awka, Abeokuta, Onitsha, Nnewi, Asaba, Ota in Ogun State are all better than Benin city in all respect. Benin city get road? Abi na d old mud houses wey litter across Uselu/Lagos road and ring road axis (obakavwaye, ogbe quarters, and Ibiwe axis) u wan count? Can u count d number of industries in Benin city? I know u are not happy with my comment bcos u are probably from Benin city or Edo state. My bro, no just argue, Benin city no follow. I have stayed in more than 19 out of d 36 states in Nigeria and I have travelled passed at least 30 states in Nigeria. I know exactly what I am saying. For real, how can u compare Benin and Calabar?     @@hunchou5240 I no demote Uyo oo. These are the cities you're likely to find wealthy Nigerians as residence. Uyo no get wealthy residence compared to the other 9. Also the economic activities in those cities are ahead of that of Uyo. I could even place Uyo and Aba as a tie.

    @@hunchou5240 I know Uyo has improved no doubt, but in human capital development it's not up to those other cities yet. Most wealthy Akwa Ibomites reside in Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt.

    Your analysis is wrong Oga . You don’t even know the difference between OYO state which is a major state in the Western Nigeria and it’s capital is IBADAN . You mixing OYO state and UYO which is the capital of Akwa Ibom state , the both are not even in same region. And Lagos state even has the highest population of it all and it’s the most developed too. Kindly do your research well before coming on air pls .
