Any 35mm Prime is an amazing buy, especially the RF 35mm F/1.8. This lens is amazing! Perfect for photos, amazing for video with it's image stabilisation and you can even get up close and personal with your subject with it's 1:2 macro minimum focus distance. This lens is a must have for Canon shooters and it's only coming in at around £500. What a STEAL!

Unreal lens, only flaw is focusing but image quality is super
But face/eye AF doesn't work well on R5.
Tamron & sigma 1.4 versions are a lot better but this is still a good option if your on a budget.

Yeah I agree, the macro on this lens is a selling point for canon but in my opinion it can make this lens very annoying with focusing, I wish it didn't have it

Do you think it’s worth considering buying a used Sigma 35mm ART 1.4? Will it have a better image? In price it is equal to the new RF 35mm 1.8. So I wondered if it was worth using it for work? Everyone has their own opinion and is already confused

You mean Tamron & Sigma plus using an EF to RF adapter. Yeah, that's not going to work as well as a native RF mount

@@samuelmaynard84 And even since its missing stabilizer, i LOVED the RF 50 1.8 on my RP without IBIS, RP+ RF 50 is such a powerful, yet super small and light combo. I really would have loved the RF 35, especially since i "downgraded" to APS-C with the R7, but as awesome the RF 35 is... i think its MUCH TOO OVERPRICED, at least noticable smaller it could have been for this ridiculous price.

@@samuelmaynard84 But in the case i have my R7 for some years and the RF 35 gets reasonable affordable 2nd hand i will buy one for sure as always on prime lens (or "camera cap")
