Attingal Revolt (Attingal Revolt; April-October 1721) refers to the massacre of 140 East India Company soldiers by native kerala farmers and the following siege of Fort Anjengo. The Attingal rebellion is often regarded as the first organized revolt against British authority in Malabar, Cochin, Travancore, and India itself. The main reason behind the resentment was large-scale corruption and the manipulation of black pepper prices by british east india company.But all participants in attingal rebellion is killed by british army with the help of local governing rulers( The first organised protest and rebellion against British East India company happened in Attingal ,Kerala.)

പതിനാലാം നൂറ്റാണ്ടിൽ തന്നെ ഭാരതത്താൻ തോക്ക് ഉപയോഗിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട് സഹോദരാ. 1717 അല്ല തോക്ക് കണ്ട് പാടിക്കുന്നത്. ഭാരതത്തിലെ ഭഹ്മാനി രാജാക്കൻമാർ , മുഹമദ്ദ് ഷാ തുടങ്ങിയവർ താങ്കൾ പറഞ്ഞ കാലഘട്ടത്തിലും മുന്നൂറ് നാനൂറ് കൊല്ലം മുന്നെ തോക്ക് ഉപയോഗിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.

എന്റെ സ്വന്തം അഭിപ്രായമാണിത്. 1857 ൽ നടന്ന യുദ്ധം ഇന്നത്തെ ജനാധിപഥ്യ ഇന്ത്യക്ക് വേണ്ടി ആയിരുന്നില്ല. അവ നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ട അധികാരവും ആധിപഥ്യവും തിരിച്ചുകിട്ടാൻ അന്നത്തെ നാടുവഴികൾ മുങ്കേയ്യെടുത്തവയായിരുന്നു. അന്നത് വിജയിച്ചിരുന്നെങ്കിൽ ഇന്നത്തെ ഇന്ത്യ ഇത്ര ഭൂ വിസ്തൃതി ഉള്ളതാകുമായിരുന്നില്ല. അന്നത്തെ നാട്ടുരാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ പിന്മുറക്കാർ നമ്മെ ഭരിക്കുമായിരുന്നു. അന്നത്തെ അനാചാരങ്ങൾ ഇന്നും നിലനിൽകുമായിരുന്നു. അന്ന് യുദ്ധം ചെയ്ത ആരും ഇന്ത്യക്കുവേണ്ടിയല്ല മറിച്ച് താന്തങ്കളുടെ നാറ്റുരാജ്യത്തിനുവേണ്ടിയാണു പോരാടിയത്. അതിനാൽത്തന്നെ ഇന്ത്യയെന്ന ലക്ഷ്യത്തിനായി നടത്തിയ സമരം മാത്രമേ ഇന്ത്യൻ സ്വതന്ത്ര സമരമായി എനിക്ക് കണക്കാക്കാൻ നിർവാഹമുള്ളൂ.
