He is actually closer to the Oscar than Leo. He will get nominated for "Legend" & "Mad max" as the leading actor. And will get nominated for this movie as the supporting actor. i think he'll win the supporting actor Oscar.

Am I the only one who is absolutely amazed by Emmanuel Lubezki's cinematography ? Children Of Men,Gravity and Birdman had amazing cinematography, And by the looks of this trailer, this movie will too. Can't wait to see it.

Alejandro G. Iñárritu and Emmanuel Lubezki (My favourite contemporary cinematographer) SOLD! All these trailers just show how impressive filmmaking can be in a winter setting! Love films that take place in the Arctic/Winter settings! This will have a massive competition when it's against Quentin Tarantino's The Hateful Eight!

Leo DiCaprio truly defied all expectations with his performance in this film, he did, despite being typically known as a heartthrob. And I`ve truly not seen anything like it.

+VEN Productions No that was a good performance still just the movie itself lacked depth and Directing wasn't all that awesome. Another example of this is recently Black Mass with Johnny Depp, great performance but film lacked.

Just saw it last night, prepare for multiple eyegasms with regards to the cinematography. Emmanuel Lubezki has a sure way of making you feel like you're right there among the action. At times very brutal, very provocative, viewing.

This will be the best film for a very long time......I lived in those parts for about 7 years in the early 90's. Beautiful as heaven, but in winter things gets harsh. Love Canada and great films for sure :)

+hatsoffsam24 No, DiCaprio got mauled by a bear and needs to be carried back / take cared off which is difficult given how far they are from civilisation. Hardy propose they let him die. Leo's son tried to stop him, got killed. Leo didnt die

Saw this in theaters and was blown away.

The movie has such a real look and feel to it.

Leo will get nominated; hell it might be his year to win!!! If he does (when he does) there with be riots in the streets from excitement; from him and from us! :)

This man might not be able to win an oscar so far but he won all ours heart , a long time ago.....

I used to feel annoyed on behalf of Leonardo Di Caprio for not being recognised by the academy but now I don't. Leonardo Di Caprio is one the greatest actors of all time and the films he makes are fantastic as well as his performances in them. They will and do stand the test of time and are iconic. It doesn't matter if he wins a small golden token that will be in a his house sitting there doing nothing. He has achieved what most other actors never will. I hope he isn't too interested in getting one. Because at the end of the day the real reward is the film that comes out. That's what these people are remembered for. Not a meaningless award. No one remembers what film won the best picture Oscar in 1961 but everyone knows the film that didn't and wasn't even nominated... (Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho) Watch Matt Damon talk about it on the Graham Norton show. He gives a great story.
