Synopsis :- Charlie Chan investigates a murder case aboard the yacht of a wealthy Greek shipping tycoonChan first appeared in Biggers' novels and then was featured in a number of media. Over four dozen films featuring Charlie Chan were made, beginning in 1926. The character, featured only as a supporting character, was first portrayed by East Asian actors, and the films met with little success. In 1931, for the first film centering on Chan, Charlie Chan Carries On, the Fox Film Corporation cast Swedish actor Warner Oland; the film became popular, and Fox went on to produce 15 more Chan films with Oland in the title role. After Oland's death, American actor Sidney Toler was cast as Chan; Toler made 22 Chan films, first for Fox and then for Monogram Studios. After Toler's death, six films were made, starring Roland Winters.

They can NEVER duplicate the "Charlie Chan" actors of the 1930's-40's
I saw this in the walk in theater back then my parents gave me and my brothers 25 cents each we were able to get popcorn candy and soda and watch the movie. Crazy
Ross Martin is great as Chan! Should have been a series.
I know this is 50 years old but how could of anyone have thought this was a good idea?

Yep. Apparently filmed in 1971 as not released in the USA until 1979. Released in the UK in 1973.
Enjoyed a well done work of one of my favorite detectives . Yes the old B and W movies captured the interest years ago .
Terrible movie. Ross martin miscast as is Leslie Neilson. All of Chans' family are played by Oriental/Asian actors but they cast a white actor as Chan again.
TOTALLY DISJOINTED PSEUDO MOVIE
They should not have had a "Return". SOmke twit in Hollywood thought, "Heh I've got a good idea, let's make some money on the Charlie Chan films!" The 30sx & 40s B&Ws were great, but this is rubbish. If you are a Chan fan, then don't watch it!
