The REP Alpine Weightlifting Barbell Overview: The best top-tier Olympic Bar
The 20kg Alpine Weightlifting Bar is REP's top-tier Olympic weightlifting barbell. Since 2012, we focused on a lot of other pieces of strength and conditioning equipment, but had never truly taken our barbell lineup to the next level. However, we have taken the last couple years to redesign our entire barbell lineup from the ground up. We have painstakingly engineered every inch of our new barbells to be some of the best in the world.
This bar follows International Weightlifting Federation specifications, including a 28mm diameter and knurl markings to help you determine proper hand placement on the barbell. This bar features a hybrid needle-bearing sleeve construction and utilizes both special inner-race bearings and standard needle bearings that provide a smoother and more consistent rotation. Its passive center knurl is smoother to accommodate high-volume training, but it still provides extra stick during back squats.

We'd recommend the Colorado bar as the best mixed-use Cross training style barbell. This is for those taking their Olympic lifting to the next level. However, the Double Black Diamond Power Bar and Olympic Lifting Alpine Bar would both pair well for people who want specialty barbells to match their all-round Colorado Bar.
Bearing design sounds like American Barbell’s.. which is the best on the market. Looking forward to trying this Rep Oly bar! Well done 👏🏼

Several high-end oly barbell manufacturers have switched to using inner-race bearings over standard needle bearings. We aren't the first, but we did do lots of testing to validate the design, and we determined that this would be the best and most robust design for this barbell. Barbell sleeves are a great application of the inner race bearing because the inner race protects the longevity of both the bearings and shaft and will provide smooth consistent spin for the life of the bar. We are incredibly proud of the performance of this bar, especially compared to much more expensive options on the market. We're excited to hear how you like it!

So the alpine bar specializes on Olympic lifting?,the colorado is more of a multi bar then. Ok,I was liking it though.
