@K C yessss, I recently got a beast of a PC and it runs the sims so smoothly and with cc the sims don't even look that bad? even without cc they don't, overall it's better than the sims 4 in terms of gameplay and enjoyment

Is it at all possible that Kirsten died in car accident? The car is literally in water and she died of drowning and you never showed a pool to be on the family's lot

Maybe Lydia killed herself and Kirsten in a murder suicide by driving the car into water and that's why her grave isn't on the home lot

I’ve been playing this household lately and I’ve noticed a few things. When the family has their first child it is always a boy (even when you remove the apples from her inventory). As long as you don’t cheat with the watermelon trick, it will always be a boy. If Hannah goes on to have more kids, they will have either black hair with grey highlights, or red hair like Aiden’s. I don’t know where the black and grey come from in the family tree but it’s definitely note worthy. Also I recently felt compelled to completely renovate their house and it was SUCH A PAIN! It was built over a large hole in the ground which made the floors uneven and fixing the poorly constructed house incredibly difficult. But I did it! And made it a lovely mansion with enough bedrooms to accommodate the family the two have always wanted.

Hannah's mother had black hair with grey highlights, that's likely where the children get their hair colour from. Also, what's up with the house being built over a hole? That's so weird!

I never really cared about the premade sims as a kid but as an adult I can't get enough lol. Kinda wish I'd appreciated them more back then.

Hannah had her lifetime wish acomplished earlier than expected

Just to clear it out, you don't have to gain required skill points to get promoted. If you have fewer skill points, your sim can still get a promotion. The job progress bar will just raise a bit slower and it speeds up with each skill point gained.

@K C no you don't (I know this as I have neglected the athletic skill for a while while I was busy with other Sims and the athlete still got promoted

With the winchester thing, Sarah was actually told that the spirits wanted revenge and that the only way to save herself was to build a mansion and just..never stop adding onto it. That's why its so huge and weird, because Sarah was building onto the house constantly and it only stopped when she died. She believed that putting in fake doors, stairs leading to nothing, rooms with no doors to access them, etc, she could confuse and trap the spirits

Actually that’s not true. In reality Sarah was just bored, old, and fabulously wealthy and decided to build a really weird house for shits and giggles. The thing about the ghosts was a lie the people who bought the house after her death came up with in order to promote the house as a tourist trap.

I feel so warm and fuzzy inside every time one of this videos is out. The main reason why I love The Sims and play it as much is the lore, inside jokes little clues.

I had my sim be an architectural designer in Riverview and the Remingtons were my first clients. I was so confused by their house! The assignment was to add a nursery for a baby.

4:20 In The Sims 3, you can get promoted without having the necessary skills if you fill your job performance meter.

The big room in the attic that doesn’t seem to have a purpose is a ball room. The stairs leading up are for guest to bypass the living quarters.

OK but Sarah Winchester in that image had some amazing eyelashes

i remember playing with some of these ghosts when i was younger, it was so much fun. me & my mum even built them a new haunted mansion

ea: gives us lure in 1,2 & 3 ea: gives us some weird sims 2 world that makes no sense for sims 4

I feel like a mistake was made and Eileen was meant to have died by drowning and Hannah's mother Lydia was meant to die via starvation (to me it makes more sense that the mother and daughter both drowned in the river) and that Hannah's mom probably starved to death due to failing health (she has tints of grey in her hair).

@@emilymiller1072 possible there is a wrecked car near one of the water banks near one of the bridges (which was also going the wrong way on the road). As well as a boat with a hole in it.

A young couple living in a small town in a haunted house, the car in the river, and a character named Lydia make me think there's a nod to Beetlejuice there. While Riverview came out years prior to What Remains of Edith Finch, I fond some interesting parallels there as well. A large family in a weird house all dead by a variety of means. Overlaps like that in popular media can be quite interesting.

Its reminds me of the tv show Ghosts where a young married couple inherit an old haunted mansion though shes the only one that can see them. Its actually interesting and definately think it was inspired by the Winchester house. Lydia and Kirsten were possibly connected in that car crash and Eileen died by starving herself from the grief. Then her husband made this house and acidentally died by electrocution when hooking up the tv. The brother could have died in the same span as the mother or father?

I honestly find it so much fun to play with townies and discover their stories

Hannah Jones has a lot of similar traits and appearance to Holly Alto👁👄👁 Does that mean something? I’m just trying to be as smart and mysterious as The Sims Lore😂😂😂

William died shortly before Sarah was told she was haunted and their daughter died years before. He never lived in California much less the mansion. I do like your videos

4:17 Sim's to get a promotion (or get a good grade at school) doesn't have to have all the skills or other requirements met, as they just allow how fast the performance metric can get to promotion in The Sims 3. It's also the same if the Sim has too few skill points/bad mood, then how quickly sim's performance meter can fall.

I literally screamed when you mentioned the Winchesters... I love that story so much!

Riverview is really one of my favourite towns. So many interesting families and houses.

I don’t know if you have but you should totally do one on Hidden springs!

I think they are based on the Winchester mystery. They created all of those weird rooms to confuse all of the ghosts.

The Remington Estate's description says that Jasper built the manor expanding his tiny house. By the fact he is Insane, he could simple expanded in a alleatory and disorganized way, and it can be the motive why the house have such a weak base, basically a hole, that was where the old Jasper house were.

I played Riverview for a short time and played this family. It's definitely based on the Winchester mansion, but obviously not as massive. The game got away from me, so I abandoned it. But: pretty town; interesting townies and it was free! Can't beat the combination.

Just a thought, but Janine could be related to Aiden by marriage or adoption. She could even just be a distant relative.

That’s usually how mine get promoted , they’re typically in the middle of that bar if I remember correctly.

I love renovating this house! What a beautiful piece of property!

My theory to how they all died is that first dead were Lydia and Kirsten. While Lydia was driving Kirsten home (possibly from school) they crossed a bridge that collapsed and were trapped inside the car and drowned (the car in question is the abandoned car in the river) Next was Jasper and Cody. While Jasper was working on a broken TV in his bedroom, it electrocuted him and he died, the electrocution started a fire that killed Cody. And lastly, Eileen being the only survivor of the family, she suffered a lot of grief and stopped eating due to grief and accidentally starved herself.

No medium and ghosts stuff, the mansion just was built, had some floors added after finishing the main building, had some floors destroyed due to the earthquake in 1906 etc. That's why there is that "door to nowhere" at the second floor, doors that lead to the walls and the other strange stuff. The rooms behind these doors were destroyed you know

I think the mother was the last in the family, and her grief over her family caused her to neglect her health and stop eating

Theory 1: Lydia tried to save Kirsten from drowning but ended up drowing with her...Kinda sad i know Theory 2: As we can she in the map view there is a crashed car near the river that is touching the water NOW the theory is that Lydia was going (or returing from)somewhere with Kirsten but something happend to their car and ened up drowing together

They put so much into the lore in the past 3 games... and then nothing in 4. I blame everything on EA

this mansion honestly reminds me of sarah winchesters home in which she built and boarded up rooms to keep the ghosts away. maybe the couple wanted to lock the ghosts away?

For the gender thing, a little tip. So I saw that you have to make them eat 5 of apple/watermelon for the cheat to work but I found it didn't work that well. I always make them eat 10 of either apple or watermelon and I have a 100% success rate 😁

Ok so here me out but what if the mom and cousin died at the same time. Then the aunt accidentally starved herself because she was too busy grieving her daughters death, then the dad started a fire (everything was replaced afterwards) which killed him by electrocution and his son by the fire
